Hi this is sweet Anna a mostly chihuahua mix..i saved her because she was in a very high kill pound,a 12 yr senior and mostly black which sadly kill shelters kill these types first.worked in saving rescues for 30 yrs now.she was abandoned in a house when tennants moved so sad!! Fact: Chihuahua's can live up to 20-21 yrs old in good health so Anna still has alot of love to still give,seniors are the best!! Id keep her but shelter restrictions apply..she has food agression when fed near other pets but seems to be content when fed apart.No agression to ppl concerning feeding..other wise no agressions other wise noticed.she tolorates other submissive pets but am only adopting her out as only pet; or other senior,no small children.being a senior.she has a loving personality,is house trained n food motivated but needs a diet as lil obese,has shots,chip,spayed,ect,prefer homeowners but renters with lease contract with limit on pets proof possible.Vet reffrences required.located in Fort meade

Unfortunately, Jelly’s owner became ill and was unable to care for him. Another family member took over but he was also unable to care for him and brought him to the Oasis. Jelly is estimated to be around 7-8 years old, so technically a senior but he almost certainly has another 10 years left in him. He’s about 9 lbs as well. He’s good with other dogs but prefers to be with calmer dogs as he can get overwhelmed by more rambunctious ones. He’s good with cats as well and would likely do well with slightly older children who won’t overwhelm him either. Unlike most chihuahuas, he doesn’t bark at strangers and is more than happy to be picked up by anyone. He also appears to be house trained and hasn’t had any accidents or marked around the house. He’s also got the silliest little bark/howl! He is microchipped, vaccinated, and will be heartworm tested and neutered on April 17th. The cost is included in his adoption fee

Benji is a black and white male Chihuahua, Short-Haired mix. He is approximately 2 years old. Benji is a sweet boy but takes his time to warm up to new people. He does not like being around children. Benji has had positive experiences with dogs and cats. His favorite toy is Teddy Bears! He is crate trained and potty trained and will run to the door when he needs to go outside. Benji has been described as talkative, a lap dog, very energetic, independent, full of kisses, and a jumper. He can be a very excitable boy and has been known to paw you and bite playfully. For more information on how to adopt, please call the shelter to see if this pet is still available for adoption. Then come to the shelter for a meet and greet. We are open 10:30-6 Tuesday – Friday and 10:30 – 4 on Saturday (closed 1-2 for lunch and the last Friday of every month).
