Story
Poor little Tater. He was surrendered to a shelter in North Florida an transported to our rescue. He was adopted for less than a month until her adopter injured her leg causing her to be unable to care for him so she recently returned him. Now Tater Tot is afraid that he'll be abandoned so he follows his foster mom everywhere. This little 10 lb, 10 year old dog a ts like a puppy when leashed for a walk so his "pulling on the leash" is something that we're working on. Due to cataracts, he has some vision loss. Tater Tot has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. He's current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Tater's adoption fee is $50. Louie is a 3 year old, 14 pound Dachshund mix that was in a hoarding situation with 30 other dogs. A rescue came and took 15 dogs, leaving the others there, so animal came and confiscated the others. It has taken Louie a while to feel safe and comfortable and now he will not leave his foster mom's side. He would be happiest to be in his foster mom's lap 24/7. He has gotten along wonderfully with all of the dogs, the litter of pups, and the chickens in his foster home. Louie has been neutered, vaccinated, wormed, microchipped and is heartworm negative. Peterman came to us from a Dothan, Alabama Animal Services. He is extremely shy and fearful of people, but he loves playing with all of the dogs at our rescue. He will need a sensitive, patient person who will teach him how to trust and work on making him more confident. Due to his shy nature, Pete will not be comfortable in a home with very young children. Isla was found on a busy street infested with fleas and emaciated. She has been given quality foods, baths, and has been seen by a veterinary for rabies, spay, vaccinations, and heartworm test which was negative. She's a lower energy Chi that would prefer to be on her foster mom's lap all day. She's been fine with the 15 other dogs at the rescue, but we are unaware of her compatability with cats or young kids. Isla's adoption fee is $250.
