Story
Kobe needs a little time to warm up but once he does he is your best friend and a great lapdog. He would do best with a dog a little bigger than him because he does play rough. Not good with cats. He is crate trained and house trained. No small children he would do best in a home as the only dog or with one other dog.

Story
Meet Gizmo 🐾 Gizmo is a handsome 1-year-old boy that weighs in at 18 pounds. Gizmo is VERY high energy and will need an active family and, ideally, a sturdy playmate! 🐶 He is very good with other dogs, but he is still very much a puppy and needs to learn to respect "personal space" 🫣. His favorite hobbies are running in the yard and keeping a collection of chewies. 🦴 He very much loves to be around his people, but takes a long moment to settle into new situations. Small children seem to be a lot for him, so a family with older children would be best. Apply to adopt at https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LUVR/dog All of our adoptable rescues have a clean bill of health (unless otherwise stated), are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (age-appropriately), tested (FeLV/FIV for cats over 8 months of age, HW for dogs over 6 months of age), current on flea and heartworm prevention and microchipped. This is all included in their adoption fee that goes in as a donation to help us cover their medical costs and continue to help other animals in need. Any questions, concerns and suggestions, please feel free to contact us at ALDR@animalluvrs.org.

Story
Kima is thriving in foster care! This 5-year-old, 8-lb pup is spayed, UTD on vetting, and loves attention. She enjoys playing with her foster's small dogs and thrives with canine companionship. While she’s mostly good with cats, she may chase if they run. Kima is still fearful of the leash and working on potty training. Having spent her life in a pen with 35 dogs, she’s now discovering the joys of indoor living—chewing included! She needs a patient home, ideally with another small dog, and someone who appreciates her happy, puppy-like energy. Story
🐾 Meet Poco! This sweet senior Chihuahua is the definition of a loyal little companion. 💛 Poco loves quiet homes, cozy laps, and people who let him make the first move. Once he trusts you, he’s all cuddles and comfort! He’s great with other small, calm dogs, knows several commands, and will politely let you know when he needs to go out or hears a strange noise. Poco would thrive with a calm single or couple who want a gentle, devoted sidekick to share their days. 🐶💤

Sweet 3 yr old 12 lb female chihuahuaSORRY DAISY WAS ADOPTED If you are interested in this dog PLEASE carefully read the bio on the dog below. If you are a match please submit an adoption application at WWW.GADR.ORG. Incomplete applications will not be processed. We reserve the right to deny any application that is deemed unfit or unsuitable for the dog. Please be aware that our animal adoptions are NOT on a first come- first serve basis. Our sole purpose is to find the best possible home for the dogs that fall under our care. Please be patient our rescue consists of all volunteers. Please don't be upset at us if you're not able to adopt. We do our best. SORRY DAISY WAS ADOPTED! We are now accepting applications for our sweet girl Daisy Mae. She has quite a story and has been through so much. We received an urgent plea from a county shelter to save her. Poor Daisy was a stray in a neighborhood for weeks and the saddest part is she was born with luxating patella's aka her knees were out of the joint. It was so painful to watch her even walk when we rescued her. The fact this scared dog was a stray with this deformity broke our heart. Fast forward to today our rescue paid to have her surgery done and it was a success. Daisy is doing great and  is no more pain anymore and very happy Daisy is nervous at first and is a typical chihuahua, fearful at first and then strongly protective and loving. Daisy loves to cuddle on our extra large pet bed we have. She is healthy and loves our foster dad dearly. We are looking for that special perfect family with a fenced in yard and love and empathy for our girl Daisy to give her a forever home. Daisy is estimated to be about 3 years and is 14lb. Daisy is a female tri color chihuahua mix. She is spayed, up to date on all her shots, heartworm flea preventatives, dewormed and microchipped!  Please only apply if you are willing to be patient and let her decompress. Daisy is the definition of perseverance and hope. We love her so much and we know you'll love her too Daisy is housetrained and great with dogs and cats. SORRY DAISY WAS ADOPTED Daisy's adoption donation is only 300.00! Are you the one for Daisy Mae?
