Meet WINSTON 🐾 Winston — an 11-year-old, 15-pound Chihuahua — needs YOU! His previous owner adored him and showed him lots of love by way of snacks, treats, and a few extra portions. I mean… just look at that face! But what Winston truly needs now is someone who will take him for walks and show him what a healthy lifestyle is all about — all while loaning a foot for him to rub up against or a cozy spot on the couch so he can lie right next to you. Now, fair warning… Winston can be a little vocal when he’s out on the town, making sure all the other dogs in the vicinity know he’s arrived! With him being hard of hearing (some might even say deaf), he may feel the need to announce himself a bit more. Don’t let that scare you though — he had us fooled for the first week thinking he just had very selective hearing 😉 Winston does well with other dogs in the home, but he would much rather spend his time right by your side than playing with them. Although a senior, he still has pep in his step and would absolutely love to be your bestest boy — giving you a reason to wake up each day and a reason to get your steps in. FREE Chihuahua-Dachsund. His name is Reggie but also has the nickname-name “Punkie Monkey Baby” in reference to the Mountain Dew Commercial. He is Very Loving and Protective ( to One Person only ) . He can be Nippy at someone else trying to touch his protected parent especially if he is under a blanket beside them and can’t see the other person only hear them. But he is always attentive and guarding unless he is asleep or running around playing with the Cat or his toys. He has a subscription with “Bark Box” where he gets toys and specialized treats every month. He plays very well with other friendly dogs. He loves going to the dog park to run and play with other dogs. He does not like young kids that want to grab and chase him. He will be a little nippy with that trying to protect himself from that. She's spayed, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines and monthly preventatives. About Lilly: - No cats please - Likes ladies, prefers adults - Solo or calm/confident similarly sized dogs - Fenced yard required (harness/leash skills are WIP) Lilly is doing well with house and potty training, she's great with potty pads. She'll follow her canine foster sibling to go potty in the yard. She has limited experience with leashes and harnesses and needs a home with a fenced yard to continue her potty training success. Lilly is a bright and sweet girl, curious about the world and very attentive to her environment. She's very wary of changes to her environment and new people. While on brand for Chihuahuas, she particularly distrusts men and loudly expresses her displeasure if they attempt to approach her. Her awareness makes her an excellent doorbell and neighborhood watch enthusiast. While she takes patience, time, and love to become comfortable in a new home, she's a curious girl and cuddler at heart. Lilly has blossomed in her foster home and is ready for a fur-ever family to call her own! She prefers the ladies and would do best with adults. Her ideal home has patient adopters who are home often, especially if she's going to be an only dog. She can have similarly sized doggie siblings, they need to be confident and respectful. No cats or young kids in her new home, they're too unpredictable for Lilly, lover of routines and consistent schedules.
