Meet Momo, a sweet and gentle 10-year-old senior who is blossoming more each day in her foster home in San Antonio, TX. Don’t let her age fool you—her vet says she is in great health, and she has so much love left to give! This darling girl may have started off a little shy, but once she feels safe, her affectionate personality truly shines. Momo now loves being held and cuddled, happily soaking up attention from her people and forming strong bonds with those she trusts. Momo is wonderfully well-rounded and gets along beautifully with dogs, cats, and kids, making her a great fit for a variety of households. She would also do well as an only dog, as she truly enjoys soaking up attention and bonding closely with her people. She has excellent manners in the home—she is potty trained and knows how to use a doggie door, which makes her an easy and low-maintenance companion. At night, Momo’s favorite place to be is curled up on the couch, enjoying a cozy and peaceful sleep near her humans. While she isn’t a fan of being in a kennel, she does very well when given a small, quiet space sectioned off with a baby gate where she feels safe and secure. Momo would thrive in a patient, loving home that will continue to build her confidence and give her the affection she craves. This sweet little boy unfortunately found himself stranded in a high kill shelter in California, having to navigate a shelter system for ANY dog is highly stressful for them, but being one of the smallest dogs among the large & loud barking ones makes it even that much worse. The worst part for this bundle of sweetness is...he was adopted, happy and excited to be out, but within a few days was returned to the shelter. FOR "SHEDDING". You read that right. The adopter wanted a no shedding dog. Since that's NOT what she got.... then the dog had to go. Confused and once again afraid, shaking in his videos. Our rescue is not a small dog rescue, but we were not going to make this sweet boy stay one more minute in that situation, we stepped up and snatched him up & took him to a more secure place, full of love and kindness. How can you not love this little munchkin? Walks well on a leash, loves to cuddle and gives endless kisses. He would be so ever grateful to have a permanent & committed, loving home. Due to his small size, we are looking for a single dog home or one with a female dog his size. MEET GOBERT (Pronounced Go-bear) 🏀 Gobert is a 5 year old male Chihuahua mix, that is ready to join your starting lineup through PAWS Rescue Inc. I may be rocking a “basketball build” right now, but I’m working my way back into game shape. I might not block shots like Rudy Gobert, but let’s be honest—I’ve got him beat in the looks department. Don’t let my age fool you—I’m far from benched. I still enjoy walks, playtime, and of course, some well-earned snuggles (and snacks… definitely snacks). I’m a solid team player who just wants a home crowd to cheer me on. I’m mostly housetrained, with just a couple of minor fumbles. I’ve got a signature move too—carrying around a teddy bear that’s basically my size. And lately, I’ve been “calling plays” in a cute sing-song voice… I’ve got a lot to say!
