Meet Oso — Your Cozy, Car Ride Loving Companion! Looking for a low key best friend who just wants to snuggle, relax, and be by your side? Oso is an 8 year old Chihuahua mix with a heart full of love and a big appreciation for comfort. Give him a soft bed, a fluffy pillow, or your lap, and he’s the happiest little guy around. Car rides? He’s in. Cats? He doesn’t mind them. Other dogs? He’s decent, but he’d truly shine as your one and only. He can get a bit jealous when another dog tries to steal his human — classic Chi behavior. Once he feels safe and settled, he’ll bark at visitors like he’s protecting the castle. He’s house trained, uses a doggy door like a pro, and will need a securely fenced yard because he loves to explore. Oso prefers softer food and has a healthy smile, making him a perfect match for someone wanting a sweet, easygoing senior buddy. Foster Location: Boise, ID Age: 8 years Breed: Chihuahua Neutered, vaccinated, microchipped Adoption Fee: $25 + microchip registration fee Interested? Please do NOT email — you must fill out an application: Adoption Application: https://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ Give Oso the cozy retirement he deserves — he’ll give you loyalty, love, and endless snuggle time in return.

Story
Benny came to us a few years ago on a one-way ticket out of Texas. He was cared for by us and then adopted out. He was recently returned to our rescue because life circumstances had changed suddenly. The family that had adopted him did wonders for him, though! When he first arrived, he was very protective of his food, anxious, nervous, and on edge. The scars on his body told a very rough story. The person who had fostered him before took him back in and commented that he’s a new dog now! He is very confident, enjoys new people/dogs and even regularly plays with toys! We also took Benny in to get his shots updated, and the vet commented that he looks great and has no health issues! At just 4 years old. Benny really is a turnkey dog, and a testament to how rescue dogs are resilient and amazing. He loves to do whatever you’re doing. Car ride? Yes. Nap time? Yes. Walk along the river? Also, yes. Speaking of walking, he walks really well on a leash, too. In the mornings, he hears his foster mom’s alarm go off and snuggles right in to get some scritches first thing. He loves mealtime and has learned that he doesn’t need to be frantic about food - there’s always another meal coming. Benny did have a dental the first time he was with us where most of his teeth had to be removed because they were diseased. So, he eats wet food or soaked kibble. He is good with other dogs and cats and is neutral towards children who are respectful of his space. If you’d like to have Benny join your home, fill out an application today! Story
This is Rueben! Rueben is approximately 6 years old and is an independent little guy. He's not one to run up to you and ask for pets or belly rubs. He doesn't mind being in your company, he just asks for plenty of time to adjust to his new environment. Rueben does well on leash and enjoys his walks every morning at the shelter. Ruben knows basic commands, such as sit, down and off. He likes to ride in the car, a bonus if you like to travel! Rueben would do best with a patient person that will take it slow in getting to know him. Once he trusts you, he will gladly sit in your lap and get loved on. Because Rueben requires a slow introduction, only older considerate kids is advised. All dogs are vaccinated, microchipped and spayed or neutered (if they are old enough) before they leave the shelter. If the dog is not old enough, you will be given a voucher for Animal Medical Center in Emmett to cover the cost of the spay or neuter and a one year rabies vaccine. Please fill out an application if you are interested in this dog or call us today for more information.         Because we are an all-volunteer organization, please call ahead to schedule a time for a Meet & Greet so we can ensure a dog handler is available to show you the dog or dogs you are interested in.         Pet Adoption League  1526 N. Story
I'm moving to Alaska. Chica is absolutely terrified to ride in a car. It would be cruel to take her all that way. She understands Spanish more than English. She comes with food, kennel, winter clothes, and dog bed. Please, for her sake, save her from 4 days in a car.

Story
Captain is a 10-year-old Chihuahua with a heart full of love and a story that's still being written. He came to us through animal control, so much of his past remains a mystery. What we do know is that he's an incredibly sweet little guy who enjoys getting lots of attention and spending his days happily wandering around and exploring at his own pace. We believe Captain is partially blind, so he'll do best with a patient family who will move slowly with him and give him time to adjust to his surroundings. Once he feels comfortable, his gentle and loving personality really shines. If you're looking for a loyal companion who just wants a safe place to call home and someone to love, Captain may be the perfect little friend for you.

Please fill out an application on our website NOT ON ADOPT A PET https://brokenheartsrescue.wixsite.com/mysite/general-6-1 **Meet Braelynn: The Shy Sweetheart** Age: approximately 6 yrs Breed: we were told Chiweenie Medical: completed - spayed, shots including rabies, wormed. Needs: No kids, no big dogs, love & patience, safe space. Braelynn is a gentle soul with a heart full of love, waiting for the perfect family to help her bloom. Rescued from a kill shelter in California after losing her human parent, she was one of 17 dogs in a desperate situation. Thanks to the tireless efforts of several rescues, Braelynn and her companions were given a second chance at life. This shy girl is still learning what it means to be a beloved pet. Having spent much of her early life without proper socialization, she is looking for a calm, patient home without children, where she can take her time to build trust and confidence. Braelynn, finds solace in her kennel and bed, her personal safe haven, where she often spends her day with the door wide open, ready to explore at her own pace. While she is potty trained and doesn’t chew inappropriately, it took her a few months to feel comfortable enough to venture outside. Now, she bravely does her business and quickly returns indoors, still finding the outside world a bit intimidating. Braelynn’s favorite moments come when she can cuddle on her foster mom’s lap on the back porch. Here, she feels safe enough to relax and even doze off in the warmth of trust. Though being picked up can be scary for her, with the right person, she learns to embrace the comfort it brings. This amazing girl is ready to find a forever home that understands her journey. If you're someone who values patience and is willing to give Braelynn the time she needs to flourish, you’ll discover a loyal companion who is so worth the effort. Together, you can help her learn to love and be loved in return.
