Lucy came from a hoarding situation, so she’s still learning all about the good life most dogs take for granted — things like kind words, soft beds, gentle pets, and treats that don’t have to be shared with 50 of your closest canine neighbors. She’s discovering that being a dog can actually be pretty wonderful. At first, Lucy can be a little shy. New people and new places take her a bit of time to warm up to. But once she feels safe? Out comes the happy, goofy, secretly hilarious little girl hiding inside. She’s house trained, crate trained, and not food aggressive. On walks she’s more “sniff investigator” than marathon athlete — she doesn’t walk great on a leash... yet, because she’s too busy trying to smell every single leaf, blade of grass, and mysterious sidewalk crumb. Priorities! Lucy enjoys being outside, soaking up the sun, and observing the world from her favorite perch. At just 3 years old and 8 pounds, Gordo is living proof that the very best things come in the tiniest, snuggliest packages. This sweet Chihuahua mix is equal parts lap warmer, cuddle champion, and loyal sidekick. He adores being close to his person and will happily follow you from room to room like a tiny, devoted shadow. If you’ve ever wanted a dog who truly wants to be with you — not just near you — Gordo is your guy. He does have a soft spot for the ladies (Gentlemen, don’t worry—he’ll accept you too, but he’s a mama’s boy at heart!) and would thrive in a calm, quiet home.
