Story
Bob is a sweet old man who just wants a few pats and a lot of snacks. He is fine with other dogs but is very cat aggressive. Bob enjoys barking at strangers and happy dancing when his people feed him. He has zero aggression, he just likes to let people know he's in charge.  Bob is neutered, updated on vaccinations, had a vet well visit and is ready for his forever. Bob's adoption fee is $100 If intersted in giving this little fluffy girl a home, please visit our website at www.4pups.org and complete our application of interest by clicking the Adopt button under Ginger's picture. We will contact you after receipt of the application to go over any questions you might have and discuss next steps. ##2579276##

Story
Cheeto is a nearly 4-year old long-haired chihuahua mix. He came to our rescue after his owner passed away. He was adopted last February (2025) and returned to us in May when he needed emergency surgery that his adopter was unwilling to pay for. During the surgery his duodenum was removed due to genetic abnormalaties. He has recovered well from the surgery and the only concern is that he might be prone to pancreatitis as he ages, which can be tempered by a special diet. Cheeto can be a little shy at firstand will spend a good hour or two barking at strangers but once he warms up he's a big lover boy. Cheeto is super playful and just an all around fun, little love bug. He enjoys snuggle time and gets along well with other dogs. He has not been around cats (that we are aware of) but we doubt he'd have any issues getting along with them. He's a pretty easy-going fella. Cheeto has been aruond children ages 4-8 and did well with them. Toddlers might be a bit too intimidating for him as he prefers calm over busyness. Cheeto's adoption fee is $175 and includes a vet wellness check, age-appropriate vaccinations, neuter and microchip. If interested in meeting/adopting Cheeto, please visit our website at www.4pups.org and click the Adopt button under his photo to complete an application. ##2231460##

Story
Meet Theo, a charming Chihuahua-mix who is approximately 10 years old and has an inspiring story of resilience and love. After enduring a challenging life prior to his arrival at Misty Eyes Animal Center, Theo has emerged as a truly affectionate companion, weighing in at a petite 8 pounds. Upon intake, he faced significant health challenges, including a severe flea infestation and dental issues that resulted in the removal of three infected teeth, leaving him toothless. Despite these obstacles, he has a vibrant spirit and is thriving on a canned food diet. While he occasionally makes a nasal sound due to the effects of his tooth loss, this does not hinder his joyful disposition. Theo is deaf but compensates with an endearing personality, relishing moments spent snuggling on the couch and burrowing with his human at night. He has also developed a newfound enthusiasm for playing with balls, showcasing his playful side that can last for hours. Currently in a loving foster home with other small dogs, he demonstrates a friendly demeanor, although he does not get along with cats. While he may need some assistance with potty training—being less reliable with potty pads but doing well with regular potty breaks—Theo is eager to find a forever home where he can share his boundless affection and enjoy a fulfilling life. Theo has enjoyed being able to roam in a fenced yard for potty breaks, and is not leash trained. A securely fenced yard is preferable for this little gentleman. He is truly the perfect lap dog, ready to bring joy and companionship to a caring family. If you`d like to meet Theo, please submit an adoption application online at https://www.mistyeyes.org/adoptionapplication.

Story
Where are our senior lovers at? Jake is another example of a dog that would have been very easy for us to adopt out 10 years ago. He's a great dog and very cute, but will need an adopter who is open to special-needs, which has been increasingly difficult for us to find. www.speedwayanimalrescue.org/adoption-application Jake is quirky. Actually, he's one of the quirkier dogs we've had in a while, and we've had a lot of weirdos. Here are the challenging aspects of Jake: -can be dog selective. Of the 6 dogs he regularly interacts with, he likes 4 -he is on Keppra for seizures, which are well-controlled -he is on Prozac -he's a runner and will need a secure yard -we would recommend a belly band while he transitions to your home. He is mostly potty trained but will mark if other dogs are markers -best in a home without children -best in a home without cats His best qualities: -he is CUTE! -he is pretty low maintenance. He enjoys walks, but also enjoys being a couch potato -he is pretty self-sufficient -he has good recall -he is crate trained in that he is calm while he is in the crate, but could use work on willingly going into the crate -he is truly a good boy The nitty-gritty: -approx 9 years old -27 lbs -neutered -vaccinated -HW negative -microchipped -recent dental -DNA tested: mini schnauzer, chihuahua, min pin, pomeranian

Story
Hi, I’m Bratwurst.I’m a gentle senior boy with a soft heart and an even softer approach to life. I have some hair loss (alopecia) that may or may not resolve over time. It doesn’t bother me or itch, and it’s not affecting my quality of life, but your vet may want to run some tests to learn more. I also have mild ear tip necrosis; again, it’s not an emergency, but it may require treatment or minor surgery in the future depending on what your vet thinks is best. What I really need now is a quiet home, a comfy place to rest, and a kind heart to share the days with. I would do best as the only pet in the home. If you`re looking for a mellow, sweet companion who just wants to be loved, I’d be so grateful to meet you.
