Story
thth.Bobarino is a sweet little man who just wants a few pats and a lot of snacks. He is 11 years old and weighs 15 lbs. He's actually small but mighty in that he's got a bit of a chunky stature. He is fine with other dogs but is very cat aggressive. Bobarino enjoys barking at strangers and happy dancing when his people feed him. He has zero aggression, he just likes to let people know he's in charge.  Bobarino is neutered, updated on vaccinations, had a recent vet well visit and will be ready for his forever home after his dental on January 19th. We would also consider a new foster home for him if there's a home available that would like to shower him with love but can't commit to a long-term home . Bobarino's adoption fee is $100 If intersted in giving this little fella a home, please visit our website at www.4pups.org and complete our application of interest by clicking the Adopt button under Ginger's picture. We will contact you after receipt of the application to go over any questions you might have and discuss next steps. ##2579276##

Story
Cheeto is a nearly 4-year old long-haired chihuahua mix that weighs 20lbs. He came to our rescue after his owner passed away. He was adopted last February (2025) and returned to us in May when he needed emergency surgery that his adopter was unwilling to pay for. During the surgery his duodenum was removed due to genetic abnormalaties. He has recovered well from the surgery and the only concern is that he might be prone to pancreatitis as he ages, which can be tempered by a special diet. Cheeto can be a little shy at firstand will spend a good hour or two barking at strangers but once he warms up he's a big lover boy. Cheeto is super playful and just an all around fun, little love bug. He enjoys snuggle time and gets along well with other dogs. He has not been around cats (that we are aware of) but we doubt he'd have any issues getting along with them. He's a pretty easy-going fella. Cheeto has been aruond children ages 4-8 and did well with them. Toddlers might be a bit too intimidating for him as he prefers calm over busyness. Cheeto's adoption fee is $175 and includes a vet wellness check, age-appropriate vaccinations, neuter and microchip. If interested in meeting/adopting Cheeto, please visit our website at www.4pups.org and click the Adopt button under his photo to complete an application. ##2231460##

Story
Hi, I’m Bratwurst. I’m a gentle senior boy with a soft heart and an even softer approach to life. I have some hair loss (alopecia) that may or may not resolve over time. It doesn’t bother me or itch, and it’s not affecting my quality of life, but your vet may want to run some tests to learn more. I also have mild ear tip necrosis; again, it’s not an emergency, but it may require treatment or minor surgery in the future depending on what your vet thinks is best. What I really need now is a quiet home, a comfy place to rest, and a kind heart to share the days with. I would do best as the only pet in the home. If you're looking for a mellow, sweet companion who just wants to be loved, I’d be so grateful to meet you. I am eligible for foster!

Story
Meet Remy Pasqual! He is believed to be a 4-year-old Jack Russell Chihuahua blend. Never enough love can ever be too much. Remy needs his happiness forever. He's been with me for 3 years and yes he had major behavior issues but that's no longer who he is. He lives to be touched by everyone, loved, good with dogs and cats, and ok as an only dog too. He is active love being active outdoors chills indoors, enjoys swimming hiking trails adventures boat rides, and has been canoeing and loved it. He is amazingly easy-trained and exceptionally off-leash trained. Lives agility and car rides. Yeah, he's a bit clingy but people enjoy this. Can guard his humans if his humans allow it. Hates his nails trimmed and is not a fan of baths but not hard if it means showering with his ppl. Remy is extraordinarily motivated by love, affection, praise, and food. He loves to be held or happily not being held. He is dramatic emotionally driven by passion and falls deeply in love. If this is you, all this ☝️ but feel he won't keep up with you during outdoor adventures. Yeah, he will. Remy can walk 5 miles without effort. I guarantee he can run them too if build-up to it. He is a very proud pup and always so eager to please. Remy is somewhat ADHD, and a goof at times, and can come across as neurotic with his silly dramatic personality but he is not. Remy enjoys his training sessions and learning new things. He enjoys showing off his tricks and obedience training every chance he can. Remy is a social butterfly fueled but love. Remy has been with us for over 3 years and at first, he required a lot of work. But im happy I accepted the challenge. His energy is charismatic. We help switch his mindset with socialization, training, and discovery of what he enjoyed which made training fun. Remy is great with dogs, and cats, and adores every human he meets. He is extremely smart and appreciates his daily walks, training sessions are always fun, and learning new tricks is his joy. Remy is also a sweetheart and loves to snuggle and loved on. He is obsessed with his super mutt harness and cape. It's his comfort wear. Remy is crate and house-trained but does well with a belly band. Remy is incredible at agility, a running friend, and cycling is perpetually fun! He loves to be active and loves learning even more. Remy enjoys city strolls and cafe shops, a good run of spooning comfortably shrugged in hour arms binge-watching Netflix. He's the best of both worlds. Remy is a very affectionate pup and more so of a Velcro dog but on the active side. Remy has a cute funny prankster personality. He enjoys speaking which comes across as intimidating but it's nothing more than him communicating. He smiles and shows off his pearly whites. He does this when asked or if he wants someone's attention. Remy enjoys playing with his toys too. Remy is known as a positive-natured outdoor activity fun little dude. What he does not care for is baths but does ok, sleeping in is no fun but he snuggles or is ignored. Remy is house and crate trained, current to date on all appropriate core vaccines including lepto & corona, 1 or 3-year rabies,  dewormed, fecal tested negative, microchipped including free registration for life, spay/neutered, heartworm & lyme diseases tested negative upon adoption,  and on monthly heartworm flea/tick prevention. Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense. We do NOT ship and meet and greet are required before adoption unless you are a previous adopter. Previous adopters of AHS have the first choice and are not expected to pay another adoption fee again.  Donation of their choice is welcomed. Training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues and opportunities arise daily that have to be addressed and or rewarded. Continued training is a must. Adoption process information can be found on our website www.animalhousesanctuary.org The Adoption Fee of $300 covers all of the above and everyday needs/care.

Story
Hi, I’m Bandit. I’m a small, big-hearted guy with a talent for fetch, lap naps, and making my person feel like the center of the universe. My vet care is all up to date (including a fresh dental cleaning), and I’m on flea and heartworm prevention so I’m ready to move right in. Here’s what I’m proud of: Housebroken & crate trained. Give me regular potty breaks and watch for my “I gotta go” signals and we’re golden. Champion snuggler. My favorite move is to curl up on your lap or gently pat your face with my paw while I rest my head on you—like a little cat-dog hybrid. Fetch pro. Toss a ball and I’m on it, then right back for another round. I do have a bit of that classic Chihuahua personality: it takes me time to warm up to new people, and until I do, I may do a little dance around strangers’ feet and even sneak in a playful ankle nip. It’s just my way of saying “I need to know you first.” With my chosen person, though, I’m pure sweetness. I’m fine with other friendly dogs, not a big eater (treats are the exception!), and happiest in a calm home where I can bond deeply. Because I thrive best close to my person, I’m available for local Indianapolis adoption only. If you’re looking for a devoted sidekick who will adore you, entertain you with fetch sessions, and nap contentedly on your lap, I’m your Bandit.
