Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hello, my name is Bo, but you can call me Mr. Wonderful or something else but don't call me late for dinner. Are you ready to meet me? I'm a wonderful dog that likes going outside and for walks. I need a fenced in yard because I like to chase things like the bunny that is usually in my neighbor's yard.  I don't think I would like living with rambunctious kids, but adults with a quiet home would suit me well. If you want to sit back and watch TV, I'm right there sitting next to you. I like treats and I’ve loved going to doggie daycare to make new friends. I’ve also worked with the trainer to learn some new skills, I’m happy to do anything for a treat! Bo's adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccinations and preventatives.  If you would like to meet Bo, please submit an adoption application through our website Adopthope.org.  Last Hope requires that adopters have a history of having kept animals as indoor pets only, altered and kept current on vaccinations and preventatives. Our adoption process includes a vet history check and a home visit.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 11, 2025, 7:15 pm

Story
Dutchess is a 9-month-old female Chihuahua/Dachshund mix with gigantic, expressive ears and a stunning reddish coat that turns heads wherever she goes. This little lady is all about her people—she absolutely loves attention and affection and will happily sit beside you, offering the sweetest soft whines until you give her some love. Dutchess is happiest when she’s near her humans. Whether she’s curling up for a nap close by or following you around to be part of whatever you’re doing, she just wants to belong. She is potty-trained, making her an easy addition to a home, and she does well with kids and cats, showing a gentle, social nature. She does well with dogs of all sizes. Dutchess has been fostered with two 50-lb dogs and will happily play if they invite her. If not, she politely backs off and observes. She has had no negative encounters with large dogs. With small dogs, she will stand up for herself if picked on, so respectful dog interactions are best. Dutchess loves squeaky toys, enjoys gentle play, and thrives on human companionship. At night and when her foster leaves the house, she settles nicely in her playpen with her bed. Because she bonds so deeply with her people, continued crate training and clear boundaries from day one are recommended to prevent separation anxiety as she grows. If you’re looking for a devoted, affectionate little shadow who wants to be part of your everyday life, Dutchess may be your perfect match.

Story
Seal Boy is an 8-month-old male Chihuahua mix with a sleek black and brown coat and the softest, kindest eyes—eyes that clearly say he’s ready to give and receive all the love he can. This sweet boy is still very much a puppy, full of joy, curiosity, and enthusiasm for life. Seal Boy LOVES to play, especially with stuffed toys. His signature move? Grabbing one and thrashing his head wildly like it’s the greatest prize on earth—it’s impossible not to laugh. He enjoys playing with other dogs too and does best with pups closer to his size, as larger dogs can still be a bit intimidating for him. Around people, Seal Boy gets adorably excited. He’s prone to jumping and will sometimes pop right up on his hind legs just because he’s so happy to see you. He’s learning his manners, though, and every so often he’ll surprise you by sitting patiently like a little gentleman, waiting for pets. He’s affectionate, loves to give kisses, and is working on keeping his puppy mouth to himself—after all, he’s still learning. Once playtime is over, Seal Boy has an off switch. He’s known to crash wherever he happens to be and curl up into the tiniest little ball for a well-earned nap. He gets along well with other dogs, cats, and kids, making him a wonderful candidate for many types of homes. Potty training and crate training are still a work in progress, but with consistency and patience, this smart, eager-to-please pup will continue to improve. Seal Boy would thrive in a home looking for the perfect balance of playful energy and people-focused affection—a home ready to guide a loving puppy into the amazing dog he’s meant to be.
