Meet Noah!Noah can be very nervous at first and it might take him a little bit to warm up to you but once he does, he will jump right into your lap for some attention. Noah loves to be outside but does not like the idea of a leash at all. He just likes to walk around the yard at his own pace most of the time just following his person around and lay in the sun! Since he is so nervous we are recommending no kids under 18 years of age. He is also willing to meet any future dog`s siblings, and we believe he will do well with cats as well. Interested in meeting Noah come down to KVHS with the whole family to meet him!

Story
Once upon a time there was a sad group of chihuahuas that were being used to make ends meet for a financially challenged family in rural Tennessee. The intentions started out good but soon things got out of hand.  Very much out of hand. Patty Cake and all the other Chihuahuas who had produced puppies to sell for income, were in a situation of chaos and unsanitary living conditions.  The humans' marriage broke up and the man walked out and desperation set in. This led to Patty Cake being surrendered to the rescue world and 17 other Chihuahuas escaped a bad life.  We soon learned that Patty Cake was pregnant. No one knew it, because she was so thin from lack of proper food.  She gave birth and lovingly raised one puppy.  Now it is Patty Cake's time to have her future years in the sun and be free of the chore of having babies just to bring in money to live on.  This is a very quiet and pretty 4 year old Chihuahua girl is ready to sit upon her new owner's lap like a little queen watching over her domain.  She is learning about the world outside and is exploring new adventures every day.  We want Patty to be comfortable and happy in a home with no young children who might need to be a bit busy and active.  She needs tranquility, love and patience as she learns what a normal life can provide to her.  She is crate trained and leash trained and housebroken.  She is beautiful and weighs 11 pounds and is still young.  Patty Cake is nice Diva.  A loving Chihuahua who needs a stable and Chihuahua savvy home.  She deserves the good times that we know someone can offer. If you are interested please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com  Please let us know where you live as we do transport out of Tennessee to the northeastern states every weekend.PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 13, 2026, 10:46 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.LESLIE was originally saved from a high kill shelter in Texas back in April 2017 and adopted to a family in NH in October 2017. Sadly she was picked up as a stray in April 2026 and after finally being able to reach the owner, they told me they do not want her anymore. It is very important to note that there was also a black chihuahua that was with Leslie but the people who got Leslie wasn't able to get the chihuahua. We have posters up and if the chihuahua is found we will be taking him into rescue and the person that adopts Leslie MUST agree to adopt the Chihuahua also as they were apparently bonded. His lost pet poster is in Leslie's photo's. This will be a condition of Leslie's adoption and will be in the contract. Just 5 days of having Leslie back we had her at Androscoggin vets for blood work, dental and rabies. She had 13 teeth extracted, her blood work came back good, she is heartworm and tick disease negative, she had her rabies vaccine, weighs 15 pounds and we are happy she is a healthy girl who is now pain free having all those rotted teeth extracted. Leslie is a very affectionate girl, she is responsive, walks great on the leash, rides great in the car, takes treats gently, she is food motivated.  Although Leslie, being around 9-10 years old making her a senior she is still a happy active girl and we are looking for a family that is still active and gets out on walks and adventures to ensure this sweet girl gets the best life possible. As a senior, she will need regular vet appointments and her remaining teeth kept clean to keep her mouth healthy and prevent pain and disease. Regular blood work is also recommended to keep an eye on her health. She is medium-long haired and will need to be brushed regular and around her face and private areas groomed. Leslie is available for an adoption fee of $550 Just to reiterate, if the Chihuahua is found, the family WILL be under contractual agreement to adopt the chihuahua also since they were a bonded pair. Adoption Details Location: Dover-Foxcroft, Maine Families must complete and submit an adoption questionnaire. Once approved, you’ll be invited to schedule an appointment to meet Lucy. ⏱️ Applications are generally processed within 24-48 hours Click here to complete the Adoption Questionnaire Want to See More of Leslie? Story
All hail King Solomon of the Snuggle Clan! At just 12 weeks old and already weighing in at 10 pounds, this Chihuahua mix may be small, but his personality is anything but small.  His ultimate weight should be 20-24 pounds of sleek good looks and agile moves.  Solomon is the perfect blend of cuddle bug and playful little rascal. One minute he’s curled up on the couch soaking in all the love, and the next he’s proudly marching around the yard with a stick twice his size, like he just conquered his kingdom. He loves romping with his puppy friends, chasing kids through the yard, playing with his toys, and following his humans everywhere—your loyal little shadow has officially arrived. Like any young pup, Solomon is still learning the ropes. He’s working on leash walking with a harness, potty training, crate training, and understanding personal space—especially with his senior Blue Heeler foster sisters who are helping show him the way. The good news is he’s already picking up on things quickly. He comes when called, understands that “no” means no, scratches at the door when he needs to go outside, and does well with cats. He’s a smart little guy who just needs consistency to keep shining. Solomon also has a brave-but-sensitive side. Around new male dogs, he can get a little unsure and may try to act tough before retreating to his safe place right between your legs. With patience and reassurance, he’s learning that he doesn’t have to be afraid. He’s also made great progress with early food guarding, showing just how much he can grow when he feels secure. This little king is ready to find his forever person—someone to love him, guide him, and give him the safe, happy life he deserves. In return, you’ll gain a best friend who will rule your heart in the sweetest way possible. If you are ready for this kind of love please contact us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 13, 2026, 10:46 am

Story
Elvis is the kind of puppy who steals hearts without even trying. This little Chihuahua mix boy, born around the end of January, came from humble beginnings after being dropped at a small shelter in New Mexico, but you’d never know it by the way he carries himself. With his expressive, slightly quirky face and those soft, trusting eyes, Elvis has a presence that pulls people in instantly. He’s confident, affectionate, and full of life—equally happy being the center of attention or curled up in your lap soaking in every bit of love. It didn’t take long for his foster mom to fall hard for him, and he’s already gotten used to the good life, complete with cozy snuggles and the occasional night sleeping right by her side.   Elvis thrives wherever people are. He’s been a natural at puppy yoga, happily making his rounds to greet everyone, and he charmed his way through a puppy birthday party like he was born for the spotlight. He approaches the world with joy and curiosity, always ready for the next adventure or the next cuddle session. He’s already showing great habits, using a potty pad by the door and even making it through the night without accidents when he’s tucked in with his person. Expected to stay around 15 pounds, he’s the perfect compact companion with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Elvis is the kind of dog who will quickly become the center of your world—and he’ll expect to be treated like it. If you’re ready for a devoted little shadow who brings both fun and affection in equal measure, don’t wait too long… he’s going to be hard to resist. Reach out to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com to make him yours before someone else claims this tiny king.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 13, 2026, 10:46 am
