Story
Our precious little Chihuahua boy is called Timid Timothy and at just 18 months old and 6 pounds soaking wet, this boy has had to grow up fast.  Found on May 29 in a hoarding situation where there were 112 chihuahuas, adult and puppies, this boy was living in the worse conditions you can imagine.  Despite all of this our boy Timid Timothy has a resilient spirit that was left him a tad 'Timid' but still he hangs close to one of the female momma Chis who has been so depressed and not moving around much.  He has stayed by her side as if to comfort her and to reassure her since he is one of the few familiar dogs she has known.  He is such a little Angel Guardian and slowly he himself has been craving some love and petting and wagging his tail at his foster momma.  He is almost housebroken which is amazing and he is investigating the cats in the home and the big dogs too.  Timothy is just the perfect little Chihuahua that will of course shake a little when in a new unfamiliar situation and then once reassured, he is settled and calm.  Timothy needs a person with a big heart that needs to be needed.  He wants to love someone and find a safe place in life to grow old and make someone's purpose each day a good one to spend with him.  If you are interested, please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com  Timothy is waiting on  that special someone that God is going to send to whisk him away to the land of Best Friends Forever in a new home. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 10, 2025, 12:27 am

Story
Meet Scooter – Your New Best Friend in the Making! Say hello to Scooter, a 5-month-old Chihuahua/Dachshund mix (a.k.a. Chiweenie!) with soulful eyes and a heart ready to love. At just 9 lbs, Scooter is a compact little guy who will likely stay under 20 lbs full grown—perfect for snuggles on the couch or rides in your tote bag! Scooter came to us after being rescued from a large hoarding situation in Tennessee, where he lived among more than 100 other dogs. Since arriving in our care on May 31st, he’s already begun to bloom under the gentle care of his foster mom. While still a bit shy at first, Scooter warms up quickly and has already become her sweet “little chocolate shadow.” Despite his rocky start, Scooter has a gentle, loving temperament. He’s quiet, eager to please, and smart—he’s even showing signs of being housetrained, which is amazing for such a young pup! He loves chewing on dog toys and curling up next to the people he trusts, soaking in affection like he’s been waiting his whole life for it. With time, patience, and love, Scooter is sure to leave his chaotic past behind and grow into the confident, joyful dog he’s meant to be. He’s ready for a calm, caring forever home—ideally with far fewer dogs than the 100+ he came from! If you’re looking for a loyal, sweet, and easygoing companion, Scooter might just be your perfect match. Interested in giving Scooter the loving home he deserves? Please reach out to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com. Scooter can’t wait to meet you! PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.June 10, 2025, 6:14 pm

This 5-month-old, 6-pound Chihuahua mix is the definition of love in a tiny, white, wiggly package.   Snoopy is more than just cute—he’s the perfect companion. A professional cuddler, devoted lap warmer, and full-time shadow, Snoopy wants nothing more than to be by your side. He’ll bring joy, laughter, and a sense of wonder to your every day. He’s working hard on house training, getting the hang of his crate, and learning that leashes can be fun. All he needs is a little patience and a lot of love—and he’ll give both right back to you tenfold.   Snoopy is great with other dogs and has such a gentle, easy-going personality that we’re confident he’d charm even the most particular of cats. He’s small enough to go everywhere with you, and he’d love to be your travel buddy for life.   If you’re searching for a furry soulmate—someone who will love you endlessly, follow you anywhere, and fill your home with happiness—look no further. Meet Yoda – A Little Dog with a Big Heart Ready to Shine With a name like Yoda, you'd expect wisdom, quiet strength, and a noble soul—and this little 10-pound Chihuahua mix embodies all of that and more. But our sweet Yoda didn't come from a galaxy far, far away—he came from a heartbreaking hoarding situation with over 100 dogs crammed into a chaotic home. There was no peace, no space, and no love. When rescue finally arrived, he was shut down and clinging tightly to another pup (now known as Vader), unsure of the world around him. But everything changed the day Yoda joined a loving foster home through Critter Cavalry Rescue. In just a short time, he began to soften. No longer hiding away or trembling in fear, Yoda now wags his tail when approached and welcomes gentle affection—especially from the 3-year-old human in his foster home, with whom he’s built a quiet bond. He’s proven that shy dogs often connect with children first, sensing their openness and kindness. Yoda is about 1-2 years old and fully vetted, neutered, crate trained, and housebroken. He’s quiet and gentle, gets along beautifully with the other dogs and cats in his foster home, and has already shown glimpses of the playful, loving companion he’s meant to be. This little guy is still on a journey of healing, but he’s come so far in such a short time—and with the love of a patient, understanding forever home, Yoda’s transformation will be nothing short of magical. He doesn't need perfection—just kindness, consistency, and the chance to finally be a dog. Open your heart and give this brave soul the future he’s always deserved. Because love heals, and Yoda is ready to return that love tenfold. To adopt Yoda, email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.June 11, 2025, 9:36 pm

From Shadows to Sunshine: Vader's New Beginning Starts With You In a world he didn’t choose, Vader survived. Not in a warm home with toys and cuddles, but in a heartbreaking hoarding situation with over 100 other Chihuahuas, crammed into chaos, forgotten by the world. Now, this light yellow 13-pound boy, just 1–2 years old, is gently learning that life can be kind. Vader is a soft soul. Cautious, yes—but never unkind. Despite everything he’s endured, he has never snapped, never growled—only quietly observed and waited. He takes comfort in his crate, snuggled into a blanket, watching the world slowly unfold around him. He doesn’t ask for much—just peace, and someone who understands. In his foster home, he’s already showing tiny signs of blooming: He’s housebroken—yes, already! He coexists easily with the other dogs, politely ignores the cats, and even accepts gentle love from a 3-year-old child. He’s finding courage. Day by day. Breath by breath. Vader doesn’t need a fast-paced world or loud voices. He needs you—someone patient, someone kind, someone who sees the beauty in a dog who's never truly known safety, but desperately wants to. If you’ve ever wished to be someone’s second chance… this is it. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Give Vader the forever he’s never known. Because behind those timid eyes is a heart just waiting to love. Story
You can’t get much cuter, bigger ears and tiny babies than these 3. Ellie, Eli and Eloisa are some of the sweetest, most gentle babies. Ellie is the mom, she is about 1.5 years old and weighs 9 lbs. Eli and Eloisa are her tiny puppies, 1 male and 1 female. They weigh exactly 2.03 lbs as of 6/4/25. Mom is fully grown, and we do not believe the puppies will get bigger than Mom at all. They are estimated to be around 9 weeks old as of 6/8/25. We got a call from somebody who wanted to surrender all 3 – Mom had wandered up awhile back and they just fed and gave her water, but didn’t really offer their home to her. She still wandered around the neighborhood and had no place to really call home. Then she had babies. They no longer wanted to deal with her or the puppies and were going to dump them in a high kill shelter if we couldn’t take them. A shelter is no place for puppies, especially ones as small as these are. Our foster immediately went to pick them up and get them to safety. They have been adjusting slowly to the foster’s home. The puppies have not been handled a lot and they’re getting used to it. Eloisa – female puppy is more outgoing than Eli and she is really enjoying being held. She is not yet too interested in toys, but it won't take long, especially when getting more one on one time with her forever family. Would be fine in a medium/low key home. She is not as shy as her brother but still needs a family/person that is patient as she’s learning to trust humans. Eli – He is a bit shy and unsure of his surroundings. If you try to pick him up, he cowers and sometimes scuttles away but once you have him in your arms, he melts like butter into you. He’s realizing he’s safe, loved, and protected. Needs a more patient, quiet home and someone willing to work with him to gain his trust and watch him blossom. Ellie – This sweet momma is so good. She’s a great mom and she would love to find her person that will keep her safe and loved, and not just toss out food for her from time to time. She is learning quickly, and loving, being a house dog. She is house trained. Ellie loves other dogs and doesn’t mind kitties. She wants to be next to you and in your lap. Every time the foster sits down; Ellie jumps right into her lap. She is a bit quiet, so a quieter household wanting a house dog and loving companion would be perfect for her. TO APPLY TO ADOPT – FILL OUT AN APPLICATION: www.pawsitive-impact-animal-rescue.org Mom will be spayed, she is heart worm negative, current on preventions, current on vaccinations, current on dewormer, microchipped and will receive a clean bill of health from a veterinarian prior to adoption. The 2 puppies are current on vaccinations, dewormer, preventions and microchipped. They will also receive a clean bill of health from a veterinarian prior to adoption.
