Story
Pinky loves life. He loves treats. He loves being held. He loves curling up in a warm lap and soaking up affection. Most of all, he loves people. This sweet little guy is incredibly affectionate and happiest when he's close to his favorite humans. His story is a heartbreaking one. When his owner passed away, her grandchildren threw Pinky and his sibling out onto the street. Eventually, they were found living in a makeshift pen, trying to survive after losing the only home they had ever known. One by one, his siblings found families of their own. Now Pinky is the last one left waiting for his turn. Despite everything he has been through, Pinky remains a joyful, loving little dog who greets each day with optimism and a wagging tail. Pinky is in great health and wonderful shape. You would never guess he was 8 years old. While he is not fully potty trained, he is making progress, and belly bands work wonderfully for him while he continues to learn. He is currently being fostered in Puerto Rico and is ready to travel to a foster or forever home anywhere in the United States. Transportation is included in his adoption fee. After losing his home and watching all of his siblings leave for families of their own, Pinky deserves a soft place to land. If you have a lap, a few treats, and room in your heart, Pinky is ready to love you forever.

Story
This sweet little guy is Buddy and he is a happy go lucky 7-year,14-pound Chihuahua mix who has been with my a senior couple since he was a puppy. Due to his elderly mother's move to assisted living, this boy needs to be moved to a loving foster or forever home ASAP.   The family children have heavy personal responsibilities and illness they are dealing with and Buddy cannot join either of the homes of the daughters.  They feel backed in a corner to find him a place very soon and Critter Cavalry Rescue is dedicated to helping this innocent little happy guy find a place to share his joyful personality.   Buddy is incredibly loyal and loves being with his people. He has plenty of energy for playtime and would love a fenced yard where he can run and explore, but if you don't have a fenced yard, he also does well going for walks on a leash. He's also perfectly happy curling up beside you for a nap. He is up to date on all vaccinations and is happiest when he's spending time with the people he loves. Buddy could fit into many different types of homes. He may especially enjoy a quieter home with an older person or couple, but more than anything, he just wants a family who will love him, include him, and make him part of their lives. This is a heartbreaking decision for his mom, and the only goal is to find Buddy the safe, loving home he deserves. Buddy would do best in a home without cats as he thinks of them as a good game of chase.  While he can get along with other dogs, he tends to do best with a sweet, confident dog who won't be intimidated by his strong personality, as he can sometimes be a bit bossy with other dogs. We know there is a special person or family out there who will give him the love, companionship, and happy home he deserves.  Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested in making this darling little guy your amazing sidekick for life.               PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 28, 2026, 11:47 am

Story
-Meet this charming 6-7 year-old, 9 pound, Chihuahua who has mastered the art of being the perfect companion! Don't let his age fool you—he still enjoys the occasional burst of zoomies and a little playful run around the yard. Most of the time, though, he's happiest relaxing by your side while you sip your morning coffee or settle in for a cozy night of TV.   This sweet boy walks nicely on a leash and sleeps comfortably in his crate at night. In fact, his crate is one of his favorite places—a cozy little retreat where he likes to relax during the day while you're busy working.   He warms up quickly to new people and is a friendly, affectionate companion. His favorite things in the world are gentle pets, scratchies, and plenty of kisses. He's also cat-friendly and generally prefers to ignore feline roommates rather than bother them.   If you're looking for a loyal, low-key best friend who will happily keep you company through life's quiet moments, this lovable Chihuahua may be your perfect match.   If you are interested, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com  Let us know where you live as well.  We transport from Tennessee to the northeastern states as well as adopt to Tennessee and surrounding states.  He is a real treasure!

Story
Mr. Bob may be small in stature, but he carries the heart and wisdom of an old soul. This 5-year-old Chihuahua began life in a crowded backyard breeding situation, one of 17 little dogs trying to make sense of a world that didn’t offer much comfort. When he was finally relinquished and welcomed into rescue, everything changed — though for Mr. Bob, change takes time. At 19 pounds, this sturdy little gentleman is working toward a healthier lifestyle with proper diet and gentle exercise. But while his body is solid, his heart is tender and still learning to trust this brand-new chapter. Mr. Bob is shy, soft-eyed, and deeply observant. He’s the kind of dog who quietly studies his surroundings, trying to understand how he got so lucky to land in a calm, loving foster home. He’s discovering that kind hands, cozy beds, and soft voices are not temporary — they’re his new normal.  He has proven to be gentle and patient with children and small dogs, though he does appreciate having his own peaceful corner to nap undisturbed. After years of living among too many dogs in a chaotic space, personal room to relax is something he treasures. He absolutely loves to cuddle and prefers to sleep close to his human at night. Fully crate trained, he sleeps soundly without a peep.  The leash is still a mystery to him and a bit frightening. He prefers quick potty breaks and then hustling back inside where he feels safe. We suspect he never had much outdoor experience before. With patience and reassurance, he will continue building confidence at his own pace. Mr. Bob has become the most well rounded and easy going perfect boy ever.  He is happy and great on a leash and loves to go to Home Depot for little visits and some social encounters. More than anything, he longs for a steady, devoted person who will be his life coach.  He doesn’t need chaos but he is in a household that is busy and fun and yet steady. He just needs someone who sees the quiet beauty in a shy little soul learning how to trust.  If you feel called to give Mr. Bob the safe, gentle future he deserves, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com.

Story
Chihuahuas are some of the most beloved breeds in America today. Their small bodies and tender, loving souls bring the kind of affection that so many people are searching for. They don’t need much space or food, yet they give enormous companionship, loyalty, and joy. These little dogs want to be at the center of their person’s world, creating bonds that last a lifetime and leaving a legacy of love that endures even after they are gone.   Grant’s story is one of resilience and hope. He came from a home with too many dogs and not enough care, ending up in a tiny shelter in Tennessee, frightened and unsure of the world. Despite this uncertain past, Grant has a gentle heart and a sweet, affectionate nature that is shining through more every day.   Grant is a handsome 1-year-old, 15-pound Chihuahua with the most charming white sock “leggings” that make him truly stand out. He’s a tall little boy with a big heart, and though he can be a bit nervous at first, he is making remarkable progress in just two weeks with us. Like a child a little afraid of the dark, Grant simply needs patience, love, and gentle reassurance. Once he feels safe, he will gladly curl up in your lap, soak up attention, and shower you with affection.   He is good with other dogs, though sometimes a little bossy at first—likely a habit from his uncertain past—but he quickly backs down once he feels secure. Grant is mostly housebroken and does well in a home without a crate. He is a climber and clever little adventurer, so confining him isn’t the best idea. He thrives when allowed to move freely, and he won’t tear anything up.   Grant is a small dog with enormous potential to become a loving, devoted companion for the right person. He is ready to blossom in a home that will give him the patience and affection he deserves, one cozy, comforting day at a time.   To make Grant a part of your life, email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com. Please include your city and state.
