Story
Meet Jojo, a lovable pup with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He is affectionate, curious, and always ready to make you smile with his playful and sometimes goofy nature. Jojo is incredibly friendly and forms strong bonds with his people, making him a loyal companion who will happily stick by your side. He gets along great with other dogs and even cats, making him a wonderful addition to a multi-pet household. Jojo also loves children of all ages and would thrive in a home where he can receive plenty of attention, playtime, and affection. Jojo enjoys spending time outdoors, exploring and taking in the world around him. While he is not fully potty trained yet, he is doing well with crate training and is on the right track with consistency and patience. Jojo is looking for a patient and committed adopter who is willing to help him learn proper house training. With consistency, guidance, and a loving environment, he has all the potential to develop great habits and become a well-mannered companion. If you’re looking for a sweet, fun-loving dog to grow with your family, Jojo might just be the perfect fit! Jojo is 1 1/2 years old, weighs 13 pounds, is up to date on all his vaccines and is neutered. Jojo tested positive for heartworms when he was first rescued however he has undergone treatment and is ready for adoption. We recommend Jojo be re-tested 6 months after treatment. Jojo is being fostered in WESLACO, TEXAS. His adoption fee of $500 will include his transportation cost to an approved adopter outside of Texas. Story
Hi! My name is Seymour I’m a 6-month-old Chihuahua mix, weighing about 13 lbs, and I’m a big fan of snuggles! I love being close to my people and enjoy spending time with my foster dog siblings. I also do well with children who are gentle with me. Cats? They confuse me a bit, but I don’t mind them at all.I’m looking for a home with a safe, fully fenced yard where I can play and explore. I also require lots of hugs and kisses—and I insist on sleeping under the covers in your bed. I’ll happily use a crate when you’re not home (I’m told it’s for my safety), but when you are home, I want to be right by your side.I love wearing cozy sweaters and fleece jackets and look pretty adorable in them, if I do say so myself. You may notice that I’m missing of one of my back feet. I was either born this way or had an injury when I was very young—but it doesn’t slow me down one bit! Sometimes I walk or run on three legs, and other times I use all four. The vets say it’s callused and causes me no discomfort. I run, jump, and climb stairs just like any other pup.If you’re searching for an energetic little snuggle bug, I might be your perfect match.Oh—and I almost forgot! I am fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered.Could I be the one to complete your family? My adoption fee is $350.00. Please email us at projecthoperescue@gmail.com if you have questions about him.  If you would like to apply for Seymour, please visit our website at www.projecthoperescue.org.  March 9, 2026, 5:54 pm

Story
Dory is a vibrant Jack Russell / Chihuahua mix who is looking for a family to call her own. She is the ultimate "velcro dog"—if there is a lap available, she will find it! Dory is high-energy, and is a world-class snuggler. Why she’s looking for a home: Dory is currently in a living situation where she cannot be kept indoors or given a consistent routine. Through no fault of her own, she lost her house-training habits because she wasn't let out regularly. Because of this, she is being kept in a garage, which isn't fair to a dog who craves human affection. What she needs: Dory needs a patient adopter who will treat her like family and keep her inside. She needs someone willing to restart potty training basics with a consistent schedule. She is smart and eager to please; she just needs a stable environment to thrive. If you have the time to give her some exercise and a lot of love, Dory will be your most loyal friend!
