Spicy came to us due to her family losing their housing; she puts on a brave front and acted like the protector of the other dogs she came in with but once she was separated, she lost her spicy attitude and her fear came through. This 7 pound little girl is more comfortable with other dogs than people right now, she is learning a new routine in her foster home and is trying to be brave after losing the only home and people she has known. She will need a patient home, ideally with another friendly dog for her to take her cues from. Spicy has lots of love to give once she feels safe. She is 2-3 years old. Meet Marley! Marley is an adorable 9-month-old Chihuahua mix, possibly with a bit of Yorkie or another terrier breed in him. He currently weighs about 5 pounds and is not expected to get much bigger, making him the perfect little companion for someone looking for a small pup. Marley gets along with other dogs and absolutely loves being held—he’s a true cuddle bug! He sleeps nicely in his crate and is mostly potty trained, though he does prefer using pee pads. Hi, I'm Ace. I had a rough start in life, but look at me now! I’ve gained weight, I’m healthy, and I’m finally feeling like my best self. I’m a very sensitive boy with a big heart. I’m still getting used to things like a leash and collar since they’re unfamiliar to me, so I’ll need a little extra practice and patience while I learn. I’m trying hard and making progress every day. I just need someone willing to guide me gently and go at my pace. I do well with small dogs around my size, though I can occasionally get a little overly enthusiastic in my social interactions and may attempt to mount during play. With proper guidance, redirection, and continued socialization, I’m learning more appropriate ways to express my excitement.
