Riverlilly, affectionately called River, is a 7-pound Chihuahua-Poodle mix with a gentle heart and a playful spirit. I’ve had her since she was 7 weeks old, and she’s been my little companion ever since. Life has changed — my kids are grown, my work schedule is demanding, and my mom, who helped care for River, is now facing health issues. River has been spending more time alone, and I want her to have the love and attention she deserves. River is young at heart, loves her walks, and enjoys quiet company. She’s house and pad trained but may have an occasional accident now and then. She’s best suited for a calm, adult-only home (preferably with a woman) and would do best as the only pet. She can be shy or fearful around other animals and young children. River doesn’t do well in a crate but loves having a cozy spot near her person. Roxie is a very sweet and lovable little dog! She is VERY smart and has always been easygoing. She is healthy for her age outside of the old age challenges, which are very minimal. She is vibrant, fun, and LOVES to cubble all day since getting older. She has her favorite pig toy and loves to play with it. I love Roxie with all my heart because of her human-like personality. However, unfortunately Roxie is not very good with children as she likes to not be bothered by them. Because of this her and my toddler cannot get along. Roxie is NOT violent but is more scared so she will bark at him and mostly try to stay out his way. But unfortunately he is too rough and intimidating for her. She is a very timid dog and has been since birth. She is in needs a loving home with that is quiet, simple, and catering. Her eyesight is not the best in one eye as she has developed a cateract. She has eye medication for it that she takes on a regular but outside of this she has no other challenges.

We found Maggie as an injured stray in 2014 and she has been loved by us ever since. She loves people and is not at all aggressive. She loves to snuggle but does not know how to play with dog toys. She does not like crates. Currently she is on two anxiety medications, trazodone and gabapentin. She would greatly benefit from an owner with a lot of affection to give, and she would do best in a home with no other pets.
