Story
I love this dog, but I can’t handle him anymore. He needs more attention and training than I can give him right now. He deserves a great home with a family that can accept his shortcomings and work with him.

Story
This cutie pie is Roscoe!  Roscoe is a male, chihuahua/terrier mix, weighing just under 15 lbs. and he is approximately 3 years old. He found himself in a rural Texas shelter after the driver of the car he was in was arrested.  He has been in foster care with other dogs and enjoys running fast, playing with toys, and chewing on sticks. He loves to be cuddled while sitting in his foster parents’ laps. He would do best with another playful dog buddy of similar size with a laid-back temperament. He prefers to eat his meals away from other dogs and isn’t keen on sharing his toys. He is obedient and comes when his name is called. He walks well on a leash, is potty trained and may enjoy agility courses. Roscoe met a kitten at the shelter and appears to do well with cats. He needs a secure backyard with space to run without chain link fencing because can be a clever climber. Roscoe is not a fan of cold weather, but he is perfectly content wearing sweaters. He has a cute alligator grin and an Elvis lip. His black coat is slick and shiny. It appears Roscoe’s tail was broken at some point, but not recently and it does not cause discomfort. His foster home has children ages 7 and 10 and he always greets them seeking affection. Roscoe does his best not to have accidents in his kennel but may need some additional training. He will be leaving Texas soon and coming to Syracuse, NY, hoping to meet his furever family.  Roscoe's adoption fee is $275 which goes towards neuter at our vet, vaccines nad medical care up to adoption, microchip and transportation fees. ##1973173##

Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $250 if picked up in TN, $325 plus transport fee for out of state adoptions. Introducing Midnight, the perfect mix of charm and cuddles! This 2-year-old, 13-pound Chihuahua/Manchester Terrier blend is as shiny as they come, with a sleek black coat and adorable dark brown points. Midnight's a social pup, getting along famously with other dogs. Cats give her a little pause, so a cat-free home would be best. Her favorite hobby? Snuggling, hands down. Whether it's on the couch or sharing the bed, she's all about that cozy life. Plus, she's got the basics down pat - crate, leash, and car rides are no sweat for her. She's a real velcro dog, sticking to her person like glue. If you're after a loyal lap warmer who'll never leave your side, Midnight's your girl! Oh, and did we mention she's used to using puppy pads and is learning to go outside? While she's still learning about toys, her absolute favorite thing is getting petted and showered with attention. If Midnight sounds like the girl for you, contact us today!  Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. May 6, 2024, 11:30 pm

ALL our cats and dogs are in the NY area but can be adopted out of state to the purrfect furever home.  In some cases, we can help transport.  Zani's al fresco Summer Adoptions  follow us on FB to find us this summer as we will try new locations to meet the needs of NYC and support the little stores:)     1yr old 17lbs Noelia from Puerto Rico would make the perfect family dog! All dogs are located in NY/NJ area All our puppies need puppy play dates/doggy facetime so we recommend homes with other pups or daily interactions to keep them tired out, happy and social.     Facebook: Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there) Twitter: zanisff  Instagram: zanisfurryfriends   Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped (not Lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it!)  All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport.  Please go to our site  https://zanisfurryfriends.org  fill out an application  Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too.   Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate! If you want to know about cats/dogs specifically being shown at our adoption locations, please email us info@zanisfurryfriends.org closer to the date so we know your interest and will make every effort to have that pet at the event or let you know how and where you can meet.  It is extemely helpful and speeds up adoption if the application is filled out prior to visiting us so please do that before coming to our weekend events. Our weekend locations are: Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent  Follow us on FB, Zani's Furry Friends ZFF, for latest updates. Usually we are in our foster homes so all this is a bit more stressful but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer. And you can always donate:) Cats and Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD w/ all age appropriate shots and microchipped. Cats are feline combo tested for FIV/FeLV; dogs are heartworm tested and rabies vax'd, (NOT lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it); rabbits are spayed/neutered.
