Story
ROSCOERoscoe is a male, chihuahua/terrier mix, weighing just under 15 lbs. and approximately 3 years old. He found himself in a rural Texas shelter after the driver of the car he was in was arrested. He has been in foster care with other dogs and enjoys running fast, playing with toys, and chewing on sticks. He loves to be cuddled while sitting in his foster parents’ laps. He would do best with another playful dog buddy of similar size with a laid-back temperament. He prefers to eat his meals away from other dogs and isn’t keen on sharing his toys. He is obedient and comes when his name is called. He walks well on a leash, is potty trained and may enjoy agility courses. Roscoe met a kitten at the shelter and appears to do well with cats. He needs a secure backyard with space to run without chain link fencing because can be a clever climber. Roscoe is not a fan of cold weather, but he is perfectly content wearing sweaters. He has a cute alligator grin and an Elvis lip. His black coat is slick and shiny. It appears Roscoe’s tail was broken at some point, but not recently and it does not cause discomfort. His foster home has children ages 7 and 10 and he always greets them seeking affection. Roscoe does his best not to have accidents in his kennel but may need some additional training. He will be leaving Texas soon and coming to Syracuse, NY, hoping to meet his furever family. ##1973173##

Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $100 if picked up in TN, $175 plus transport fee for out of state adoptions. Meet George, the ultimate cuddle connoisseur and outdoor explorer! At 11 years young and 21 pounds, George may be a senior pup, but he's still got plenty of love and adventure left in him. This charming Chihuahua is the epitome of sweetness, with a calm demeanor and a heart full of love for his person. He is currently on a weight loss journey with lots of gentle exercise and a high-quality diet. One of his favorite pastimes? Lounging beside you for some quality cuddle time, pawing at your leg when he wants a lift into your arms—adorable, right? George may be a bit cautious around new people at first, but once he warms up, he's all snuggles and smiles. He's a pro at leash walking, making him the perfect companion for leisurely strolls around the neighborhood or on nature trails. Plus, he's a great travel buddy, enjoying car rides and quietly exploring his surroundings. While he may prefer the company of a female owner (his owner had to go to assisted living), George's heart is big enough to welcome anyone who's ready to give him the love and attention he deserves. He seems friendly to cats and will tolerate other dogs but prefers to do his own thing with his people. If you're searching for a loyal cuddle bug and walking companion, look no further—George is ready to steal your heart and be your new best friend!  Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. April 18, 2024, 9:17 pm

ALL our cats and dogs are in the NY area but can be adopted out of state to the purrfect furever home.  In some cases, we can help transport.  Zani's al fresco Summer Adoptions  follow us on FB to find us this summer as we will try new locations to meet the needs of NYC and support the little stores:)     1yr old 17lbs Noelia from Puerto Rico would make the perfect family dog! All dogs are located in NY/NJ area All our puppies need puppy play dates/doggy facetime so we recommend homes with other pups or daily interactions to keep them tired out, happy and social.     Facebook: Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there) Twitter: zanisff  Instagram: zanisfurryfriends   Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped (not Lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it!)  All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport.  Please go to our site  https://zanisfurryfriends.org  fill out an application  Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too.   Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate! If you want to know about cats/dogs specifically being shown at our adoption locations, please email us info@zanisfurryfriends.org closer to the date so we know your interest and will make every effort to have that pet at the event or let you know how and where you can meet.  It is extemely helpful and speeds up adoption if the application is filled out prior to visiting us so please do that before coming to our weekend events. Our weekend locations are: Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent  Follow us on FB, Zani's Furry Friends ZFF, for latest updates. Today,  a healthy puppy!!!  He is a little angel on earth. He is a very innocent and playful dog, but also a glutton--friends with everyone, but his food is sacred and he does not like to share.  Although he likes to run, he is a little clumsy because of his short legs, yet he knows how to have fun. He’s very funny and is unaware of his size so jumps from high places. Even with their short legs, he runs quite fast. He stays in his bed for his sista after lunch. He knows how to use a large pad/newspaper but could learn to also go potty outside. Pulgarcito is a good dog full of love. He should have a good diet and an oatmeal bath every two or three weeks as well as a weekly tooth brushing to prevent tartar build up which is common in chis. Pulgarcito needs a canine friend!:) ideally his bestie, Margarita, who will arrive when he does, at time of adoption so please submit an application. Story
My name is Arwen, and I am an energetic purebred Pomeranian. I am for the most part house trained, but I do still need a consistent schedule where I am able to go outside every 2 hours. I am spayed, and up to date on all of my shots. I hope to find a home where there is constant love, care and affection. I get along great with kids, and other pets but I do prefer to be the only pet, and I do prefer to live in a home free of children.
