One of their fur siblings was already taken to a shelter, but a kind-hearted Good Samaritan stepped in to give these two a safe, temporary home. Unfortunately, she already has three dogs, so this is not a long-term option. These sweet pups are pee pad trained and love walking on leashes. They are a little shy, especially around men, but with patience and love, they will warm up quickly. Location: Marshville, Union County (about 25 miles east of Charlotte) Please note: We do not transport dogs, so adopters must pick them up in Marshville, NC. Both Toby and Precious are up to date on vaccinations and will be spayed/neutered once adopted. These two seniors came to Rainbow Bridge Hospice Rescue under heartbreaking circumstances. Their 90-year-old mom passed away, and not one of her five adult children stepped up to take them. Gizmo and Bucky are incredibly easygoing, low-maintenance dogs who get along well with both cats and other dogs. Meet Miss Peggy! This senior chi-weenie gal is full of love and sass. When she's not zooming around playing with toys or dogs, you can find her somewhere sleeping under a blanket. Peggy loves her people and doesn't like to be without them. Ideally, Peggy is looking for someone who works from home since she loves being with her people so much. She's not a fan of being crated and will let you know that. While she's small, Peggy is not a good fit for apartments/shared walls since she can sing the song of her people when she is left alone. She loves to wrestle, chase, and snuggle with other dogs. We strongly prefer that she goes to a home where she can have a canine companion to be besties with. She also loves laying outside in the sunshine, but a fence is not required. She does well on a leash and loves to go on walks. Peggy is house-trained and very good at letting you know when she needs to go out. Younger kids make her a little nervous, so she should go to a home with older kids or no kids. Even though Peggy is a senior, she's quite fit. Her only "issue upon coming to us was her mouth. Years of improper dental care took a toll on her and Peggy had to have 12 teeth removed when she came to Freedom Ride. She will be good as new once she's healed from these extractions.
