Fiona is a 2 year 10 month old Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix weighing 10 pounds. She came to the shelter as an owner surrender. Even as an owner surrender we don't know much about her past. What we do know is that Fiona is a love bug with a gentle soul. She's a cuddle bug and loves to give kisses and overall is a happy little girl. She'll be your shadow (separation anxiety). She definitely has experienced past trauma and can be fearful in different scenarios. She can also be a drama queen (at the veterinarian or taking medication). She's vocal in many ways, crying, barking, howling. Working on potty pad training and housebreaking. Loves to go on walks. Crate trained. She is terrified of cats!Her adoption fee is $200, this includes her spay, heartworm test, vaccines current, deworming, heartworm/flea prevention and micro chipped. Her dog license is also required to be purchased for Sandusky County residents at time of adoption, which is an additional $21.00. Please visit the shelter to meet her, we show dogs Monday through Friday 1pm-4:30pm and Saturday 1pm-3:30pm. Once you have visited the shelter, you are then eligible to submit an adoption application for review. Please note, we do not offer same day adoptions and there is a $10 non-refundable application fee.Come and meet your new best friend today! This is Andy and he comes to us seeking a forever home with patient adopters! Andy was running as a stray and all the signs are there that he had a difficult/abusive past. Andy needs his time to get settled in and get to know you, which is just a few days. He loves being near you, indoor life (especially couches), a yard where he can watch the birds and Andy loves to eat! Andy is approximately 4 years old and about 20 pounds. Meet Buddy. Buddy is a 2-year old chihuahua mix. He weighs 15 lbs. Buddy is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm tested. He is almost house broken. We don't know about Buddy's history. He was found as a stray in Dayton, OH area. We rescued him from the shelter. Buddy is very skittish. He is timid to places where he is not familiar with and may show fear aggression. We are looking for a quiet home for him. The adopter needs to be patient with Buddy. Buddy is fine with everybody. He usually stays away from the crowd and very quiet. However he has food aggression. He always fears that someone would take away his food/treats. Hence a home with children is not suitable for him. Once he is comfortable with you, he would come to greet you and let you to pet him.
