Meet Rocko! This little guy is ready to be your next cuddle machine. While he might be nervous the first time you meet him, he becomes a cuddle machine once he warms up! He is an introvert at heart, so a calm and quiet household would be perfect for him.  Cats: Rocko does not do well with cats. He would do best in a home without cats.  Dogs: Rocko prefers the company of smaller dogs. Bigger ones are quite intimidating for this lil old man! Kids: While he has not met any younger children to our knowledge, a slow introduction with proper percautions is advised. Feel free to ask about bringing your children when you schedule your meet & greet! Some of Rocko's favorite things include warm beds, cuddle time, and words of affirmation  Rocko is Neutered, Microchipped, and fully up to date on age appropriated vaccines! This is Jax, and he’s hurting in a way dogs can’t explain.Jax is an older guy who lost the only home he ever knew when his owner passed away. One day he had a person, a routine, and a place where he belonged… and the next, he was here. He didn’t do anything wrong. His world just disappeared.Even now, Jax still has so much life in him. He’s surprisingly energetic for his age, a little spunky, a little quirky, and full of personality. He seems to enjoy other dogs and does well with kids, and you can tell he wants connection — he just doesn’t know how to ask for it yet.Jax also tested positive for heartworm, but the good news is he’s almost finished with treatment. He’s been so brave through it all, quietly enduring vet visits and rest when he didn’t understand why his life had changed so drastically.Older dogs like Jax are often overlooked. They wait longer. They watch people walk past. But Jax isn’t done living or loving. He just needs someone willing to open their heart to a dog who’s already lost everything once.If you have room in your home — and your heart — Jax is waiting. Meet Cleo! Cleo is a 10-year-old Chihuahua–Miniature Pinscher mix weighing about 12 pounds — the perfect little companion for your lap and your heart. This sweet girl was surrendered to our local shelter and is now safe in foster care, waiting patiently for her forever home. Cleo is a total lovebug who just wants to be cuddled and adored. She listens well, loves to snuggle in your lap, and has a calm, gentle nature that makes her a joy to have around. She currently lives with other dogs and does very well with them. She hasn’t lived with cats or children, so we’re not sure how she would do, but her sweet temperament suggests she might adjust well with proper introductions. Cleo is a smart little lady who already knows a few commands such as “come,” “no,” and “leave it.” She hasn’t used a crate in her foster home and has had very few potty accidents — she’s doing great with her house manners! Cleo would fit beautifully in almost any home — whether you’re a single person looking for a loyal companion or a family wanting a gentle, affectionate addition. She can be a little vocal when meeting new people (she likes to say hello in her own way!) but quickly warms up once she knows she’s among friends. Although a fenced yard is preferred, it’s not a dealbreaker for this little lady — what she really needs is someone who will love her, keep her safe, and make her feel like part of the family. If you’re looking for a loyal little sweetheart to share your days and your couch with, Cleo is ready to steal your heart and snuggle right into your life. ??
