Available 1/22/26. Meet Rocko! This little guy is ready to be your next cuddle machine. While he might be nervous the first time you meet him, once he warms up all he wants is to be held. Rocko would do best in a quieter home with a smaller family where he can be the single focus. Adopters should be prepared for dental disease typical of 7 year old toy breeds.  Cats: Rocko has had a past of not getting along with cats, would do best in a house hold without. Dogs: Rocko is scared of larger dogs, but has enjoyed other small dogs in the past. Kids: While he has not met any younger children to our knowledge, a slow introduction with proper percautions is advised. Meet Cleo! Cleo is a 10-year-old Chihuahua–Miniature Pinscher mix weighing about 12 pounds — the perfect little companion for your lap and your heart. This sweet girl was surrendered to our local shelter and is now safe in foster care, waiting patiently for her forever home. Cleo is a total lovebug who just wants to be cuddled and adored. She listens well, loves to snuggle in your lap, and has a calm, gentle nature that makes her a joy to have around. She currently lives with other dogs and does very well with them. She hasn’t lived with cats or children, so we’re not sure how she would do, but her sweet temperament suggests she might adjust well with proper introductions. Cleo is a smart little lady who already knows a few commands such as “come,” “no,” and “leave it.” She hasn’t used a crate in her foster home and has had very few potty accidents — she’s doing great with her house manners! Cleo would fit beautifully in almost any home — whether you’re a single person looking for a loyal companion or a family wanting a gentle, affectionate addition. She can be a little vocal when meeting new people (she likes to say hello in her own way!) but quickly warms up once she knows she’s among friends. Although a fenced yard is preferred, it’s not a dealbreaker for this little lady — what she really needs is someone who will love her, keep her safe, and make her feel like part of the family. If you’re looking for a loyal little sweetheart to share your days and your couch with, Cleo is ready to steal your heart and snuggle right into your life. ?? Simon is a 4 year 3 month old Pomeranian weighing 15 pounds. He came to the shelter as an owner surrender. Simon needs time, time to learn to trust & time to adjust. An experienced adopter would be ideal as it took Simon awhile to come of his shell and show us his personality after being with us for over 8 weeks. Simon is unsure of new people, places and situations. Once he warms up to you he'll be your new shadow. He is very vocal. Loves his toys. He tolerates being brushed and going to the groomer, will show you his unhappiness with his sassy attitude and a lip curl. He has no idea how to walk on a leash and will need work on housebreaking. True to his breed, big personality, vocal, sassy and sweet.His adoption fee is $250, this includes his neuter, heartworm test, vaccines current, deworming, heartworm/flea prevention and micro chipped. His dog license is also required to be purchased for Sandusky County residents at time of adoption, which is an additional $21.00. Please visit the shelter to meet him, we show dogs Monday through Friday 1pm-4:30pm and Saturday 1pm-3:30pm. Once you have visited the shelter, you are then eligible to submit an adoption application for review. Please note, we do not offer same day adoptions and there is a $10 non-refundable application fee.Come and meet your new best friend today!
