Story
Nena is a petite chihuahua looking for a family who knows how to handle chihuahua sass :) Nena is very scared, and has sensitive feelings sometimes too. She will need an adult only home but does get along with other dogs and cats. Her family moved to another country and her temporary caretaker couldn't keep her any longer. Nena will take time and possibly multiple visits before she is ready to go home with a new family.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.A generous donor has sponsored Peanut's adoption donation! Peanut is a beautiful 5 year old, 12 pound chocolate Chi that was abandoned in a home with his big furry brother. When he came to us from the shelter he had horrible skin and eye issues. Unfortunately, his dry eye was never treated and he developed an ulcer. Even though everything was done to save the eye, it did need surgically removed due to a rupture. Now that he is all healed this boy is ready for his forever home! His dry eye is treated with daily eye drops, and he is a good little guy to get his drops. Peanut has had one mild seizure recently, and has some demons that can come out to play at night. He has been on phenobarbital since August, and it has helped significantly. If he wakes up with a low growl, he can be easily talked back to calm, and swiftly goes back to sleep. He prefers to sleep with his people, but you must be warned it can be risky during the night if his demons come out. Besides that, Peanut is one healthy, playful, and loving boy who is ready for any adventure with his family. He is crate trained during the day, house trained, leash trained, loves car rides and just a little love bug. Peanut gets along with other dogs, but wrestling and getting the tennis ball first are his favorite things. He will even play fetch all by himself for your entertainment, and his toys get lots of air time! Peanut is your typical chihuahua who wants to be the center of your world. Won't you give this boy his dream of a forever home? To adopt Peanut, please complete an adoption application at peacelovepoms.rescuegroups.org. The $350 adoption donation has been sponsored by a donor and includes core vaccines (Rabies, Parvo/Distemper, and Bordatella), Accuplex (Heart worm and Lyme test), fecal, microchip, bloodwork, neuter, dental, and all the love you can handle!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 24, 2024, 6:15 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Tucker the chiweenie! Tucker is estimated to be between 1-2 years old and weighs 8 pounds. He is small in size but has a BIG personality! Tucker walked right into our house and made himself quite comfortable. He enjoys a nice comfy dog bed, playing with toys and romping around with his foster brother. Tucker can play for hours and can never get enough attention from his foster parents. Tucker is very curious of the house cats and will attempt to chase them. Tucker’s little legs makes him a bit of a klutz. He walks well on a leash but does enjoy having a fenced-in yard to explore. He is also very content when he has to be crated and sleeps through the night with no accidents. He is pretty much house trained, but we are still working on his cues for letting us know. The chihuahua is strong with this guy, and we are trying to work on his manners. Are you interested in adopting this silly, lovable guy? To adopt Tucker, please complete an adoption application at peacelovepoms.rescuegroups.org. Story
Looking for his perfect match! Name: Emmett Age: ~7 Sex: Male Breed: Chi/Jack Russel Mix Looking for: Adult only-home Love Language: Balls & ear scratches Good with: Kids: Not preferred Cats: Unknown Dogs: Yes, low energy, non-playful dogs "I am a small, middle-aged boy who is in his PEAK years! I prefer an adult-only home because I don't trust kids... can you blame me? Some would say that I have commitment issues so apparently, I need someone who I can trust that will ensure I am never let down by a human again. I am iffy with new people but will eventually warm up and then I'm super clingy. When it comes to other dogs, I am not a paw-ty animal by any means, and I require a nice long handshake and butt sniff before letting you join my circle. I guess I'd be willing to share my human with the right pup....I'll let you know. I like to take things slow: trust, love, and pets. DON'T ask me to clean your gutters, I live by the "feet on the floor" rule and am a little scared of heights, so I prefer not to be picked up. All I need is a ball to chase or a comfy spot on the couch or on your lap. Don't take it personally but I LOVE my crate. Sometimes it's nice to have alone time. I have some quirks...AKA don't touch me where I don't want to be touched - but once you learn my "DNT Spots, you can give me love everywhere else! Listen, I'm a gutsy guy who is looking for someone who can handle my big personality in my tiny body. I'm UTD on my vaccines, can't get anyone preggers, I'm chipped so that you can stalk me & have a clean bill of health. If you want to make me yours, you have to apply so my "foster mom can "approve. Can you believe she gets to make the final call?!" Zoes House Kennel #9117 Sinking Spring, PA 19608

Story
PJ recently turned 5, his birthday is Christmas Eve. He was my grandmother’s dog, but unfortunately she passed away September of last year. I took him in after she passed, also due to my love for him as well. As time went by I got a new job the requires me to take half the day away from him, unless I leave work to take him out, feed him, and show him some love. It has become extremely difficult to cater to him being I’m at work most of the time (weekends included). He is very playful, protective over those he loves and love him, lovable, affectionate, and a little bit mischievous (in a funny way haha). I just want to find him a home where all of his needs plus more are met. He deserves it after what he’s been through. As hard as it is to let him go, I know there is a better home for him out there.

Story
Meet Pinky, a petite Chihuahua mix with the most beautiful hazel-green eyes! Pinky is young at around 1–2 years old and weighs 12 lbs. She was transferred to us from another shelter. Pinky is very nervous in the shelter setting and needs time to warm up to new people. Once she gets past her fears and becomes comfortable with you, she turns into a sweetheart though. She really enjoys car rides! Pinky is very vocal, so she'll need to be in a home without shared walls. Because of Pinky's nervousness, she should be in an adult-only household. She's open to meeting other dogs, if you have them in the home, and can be cat-tested if requested. Pinky is a dog that needs time to come out of her shell, but once she welcomes you into her circle, you'll be rewarded with her affection. If you think you can provide the right home for Pinky, apply at lvpeaceablekingdom.info. Peaceable Kingdom, PA Kennel License #04131, 1049 MacArthur Rd., Whitehall, PA 18052
