Story
Nena is a petite chihuahua looking for a family who knows how to handle chihuahua sass :) Nena is very scared, and has sensitive feelings sometimes too. She will need an adult only home but does get along with other dogs and cats. Her family moved to another country and her temporary caretaker couldn't keep her any longer. Nena will take time and possibly multiple visits before she is ready to go home with a new family.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.A generous donor has sponsored Peanut's adoption donation! Peanut is a beautiful 5 year old, 12 pound chocolate Chi that was abandoned in a home with his big furry brother. When he came to us from the shelter he had horrible skin and eye issues. Unfortunately, his dry eye was never treated and he developed an ulcer. Even though everything was done to save the eye, it did need surgically removed due to a rupture. Now that he is all healed this boy is ready for his forever home! His dry eye is treated with daily eye drops, and he is a good little guy to get his drops. Peanut has had one mild seizure recently, and has some demons that can come out to play at night. He has been on phenobarbital since August, and it has helped significantly. If he wakes up with a low growl, he can be easily talked back to calm, and swiftly goes back to sleep. He prefers to sleep with his people, but you must be warned it can be risky during the night if his demons come out. Besides that, Peanut is one healthy, playful, and loving boy who is ready for any adventure with his family. He is crate trained during the day, house trained, leash trained, loves car rides and just a little love bug. Peanut gets along with other dogs, but wrestling and getting the tennis ball first are his favorite things. He will even play fetch all by himself for your entertainment, and his toys get lots of air time! Peanut is your typical chihuahua who wants to be the center of your world. Won't you give this boy his dream of a forever home? To adopt Peanut, please complete an adoption application at peacelovepoms.rescuegroups.org. The $350 adoption donation has been sponsored by a donor and includes core vaccines (Rabies, Parvo/Distemper, and Bordatella), Accuplex (Heart worm and Lyme test), fecal, microchip, bloodwork, neuter, dental, and all the love you can handle!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 3, 2024, 5:49 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Tucker the chiweenie! Tucker is estimated to be between 1-2 years old and weighs 8 pounds. He is small in size but has a BIG personality! Tucker walked right into our house and made himself quite comfortable. He enjoys a nice comfy dog bed, playing with toys and romping around with his foster brother. Tucker can play for hours and can never get enough attention from his foster parents. Tucker is very curious of the house cats and will attempt to chase them. Tucker’s little legs makes him a bit of a klutz. He walks well on a leash but does enjoy having a fenced-in yard to explore. He is also very content when he has to be crated and sleeps through the night with no accidents. He is pretty much house trained, but we are still working on his cues for letting us know. The chihuahua is strong with this guy, and we are trying to work on his manners. Are you interested in adopting this silly, lovable guy? To adopt Tucker, please complete an adoption application at peacelovepoms.rescuegroups.org. The $350 adoption donation includes core vaccines (Rabies, Parvo/Distemper, and Bordatella), Accuplex (Heart worm and Lyme test), fecal, microchip, bloodwork, neuter and all the love you can handle!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 3, 2024, 5:49 am

Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $250 if picked up in TN, $325 plus transport fee for out of state adoptions. Introducing Midnight, the perfect mix of charm and cuddles! This 2-year-old, 13-pound Chihuahua/Manchester Terrier blend is as shiny as they come, with a sleek black coat and adorable dark brown points. Midnight's a social pup, getting along famously with other dogs. Cats give her a little pause, so a cat-free home would be best. Her favorite hobby? Snuggling, hands down. Whether it's on the couch or sharing the bed, she's all about that cozy life. Plus, she's got the basics down pat - crate, leash, and car rides are no sweat for her. She's a real velcro dog, sticking to her person like glue. If you're after a loyal lap warmer who'll never leave your side, Midnight's your girl! Oh, and did we mention she's used to using puppy pads and is learning to go outside? While she's still learning about toys, her absolute favorite thing is getting petted and showered with attention. If Midnight sounds like the girl for you, contact us today!  Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. May 6, 2024, 11:30 pm
