Chloe was a stray in Pottstown hanging out under a bush to keep warm in this cold weather. A good samaritan brought her in after seeing her roam the apartment complex parking lot for a few days. The Samaritan kept her until her landlord told her she can no longer house her in the apartment. She then ended up at the adoption center! She is so sweet and is a ball of energy and joy! She is now up to date on vaccines and current on flea, tick and heart worm prevention. We will be spaying her before she goes to her new home! Chloe is good with other dogs and would love to be your new little love just in time for Valentine's day!

MEET OZZIE! Little Ozzie and his housemate/brother, Turbo, joined us from a local shelter after being seized for neglect in a hoarding situation. Ozzie and Turbo are in separate foster homes and flourishing. Ozzie is now ready to find his dream home! Ozzie is estimated to be around 8 years old and weighs a whopping 6 lbs. He’s a gentle, affectionate guy who loves his people (though a little apprehensive around small children) and will take any opportunity he gets to cuddle. He’s extremely tolerant with handling, even nail trims, and his favorite place is curled up in a blanket nest on the couch or next to you all night long. Physical touch is Ozzie’s love language. Ozzie came from a home with other small dogs and is currently in foster care with other dogs (large, small) and cats. He gets along with everyone well though doesn’t look to play with them much. If he’s not in the mood to interact or doesn’t want to share the humans’ lap/space, he may give them some warning grumbles to tell the other animals to beat it but that’s about it. We have a feeling that Ozzie would love a quieter home with lower-energy animals and kids. Ozzie has done great with housebreaking and usually won’t have any accidents if he’s kept on somewhat of a schedule. He is also crate trained. Ozzie has been fully vetted since coming to the rescue including having a dental cleaning and 13 extractions due to dental disease. He has been diagnosed with a 4-5 grade heart murmur but a cardiology workup showed no other signs of heart disease. He did great while under anesthesia for his dental procedure.. Not uncommon for Chihuahuas and other small breeds, Ozzie has low-grade bilateral luxating patella which don’t appear to cause him any pain but something to keep an eye on as he continues to age. Inside the home he is relaxed, playful in his own quiet way, and his sweet personality is beginning to shine through. he is still building confidence outdoors and leash walks in a fenced yard will prove to be a big confidence booster for him. Our precious little guy, Benji, is just the most darling 4 lbs. Chi/Yorkie mix puppy that you will ever find up for adoption. There is no human that he doesn't want to be friends with and no dog that intimidates him, no matter the size. He is living with children aged 4 to 16 and enjoys the fast-pace of his foster home with all the bigger dogs, kids and family sounds and people coming and going. He is curious and fearless. Recently this little guy attended a Puppy Yoga class at the YMCA with 40 people in attendance. He raced around the huge Yoga class just having the best time being a lap buddy for a few minutes with lots of cute woman and young teens, and then running off to make another new friend!!!!! The room was big, there were lots of people there and other bigger puppies, too who were running around. He joined right in looking for lots of fun, lap snuggles and trying to make as many new friends in an hour as he could! This boy, Benji, is crate trained, working on housebreaking and he is going to be your best friend and little buddy ever. Don't hesitate ....he is ready January 15th!
