Story
Hosy is a lovable puppy, she is cute and fun to be around with. She sleeps with our daughters, and they love her dearly. We are going back to our home country, so we want to make sure Hosy finds a new home with people who love her. She is well-trained for potty time. If she wanted to go potty, she would signal us by standing by the door or you could tell from the way she bends her body like she is holding something that needed to pass out. Because I work from home, I typically take her out the in the morning, at noon, and in the afternoon for pee and poo, and one more time before going to sleep if it is not too cold outside. But even two times a day is fine. When there is no other dogs around, we would let her run around in the big park unleased.

Story
I adopted Coco when she was 2 in San Francisco and we've been family ever since. Unfortunately, my work schedule doesn't allow me to give her the proper love and attention she needs. She's an energetic loving pup. She needs a home that can provide her with consistency and tons of affection! She's full of personality and loves to cuddle.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Mr. Poppy This adorable little fella is a spitfire to say the least. He came from a hoarding situation with a lot of other dogs. When he came in he was petrified. We took in several dogs from this home and with each drop-off... they told us these were the last dogs in the home. The dogs were not handled much and he will still run from you if he feels threatened or knows you want to put him in his crate. He can be crated and should be when you are not home, but he really doesn't care for it. Mr. Poppy will require a home with at least one other smaller to medium sized pup or a home where his people are home more often than not. He prefers adults and is what we call our "Parrot dog". He is happy to be laying with you, in your lap, or lounging on your shoulder watching tv. He does currently sleep in bed with his foster mom and dad, so he will need a home where this is ok and furniture is not off-limits. We would suggest a home that is not extremely active as he is reactive to strangers when they first come into the home. He does not do well on car rides, so he will be happy to just hang out at the house with you, rather than going on trips to the store, etc. We are recommending no children under 15 for this little guy. He wants to be the only "kid" in the house. If having a companion who thinks you are his world is what you are looking for and are willing to deal with his limitations, then Mr. Poppy is your boy! When applying to adopt through ODAAT, please know that we take pride in placing our animals appropriately based on their needs and personality. We want the best family for them and the perfect fit for your family. All applications are ran prior to choosing an adopter... This process takes time and we do not adopt out on a "first come first served" basis. Applications are found on our website www.onedogatatime.us .   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 19, 2024, 3:51 pm

Story
Age: 10 years Size: 6 lbs Estimated breed: Chihuahua mix    Stevie ended up at a rural shelter due to no fault of her own. A tiny senior like her has no business being in a shelter, so we got her into the safety of a foster home while we search for her perfect retirement home. Stevie is around 10 years old and weighs 6 lbs. She is a sweet little old lady who has done well with other dogs and cats. Due to her age and size, she would do best with no kids or with teenagers only. She has a bad back, likely due to severe arthritis of the spine. We are starting her with laser therapy to help manage it, and her adopters will need to continue pain management for the rest of her life. She fortunately gets around just fine and doesn’t seem to be in too much pain! Stevie is looking for a quiet retirement home to spend the rest of her days, no matter how long or short they may be.   To adopt Stevie, please apply on our website! https://www.nirvanaanimalrescue.org/adoption-application   Please note we cannot guarantee the age or breed of any of our dogs. All of our dogs are working on their crate and house training.   PA Kennel License #18366 April 19, 2024, 12:10 pm
