Story
Meet Chi Chi & Rufus — A Sweet Senior Duo Looking for a Soft Place to Land Chi Chi and Rufus are a bonded pair of senior sweethearts, both 13+ years old, who are hoping to find a quiet, loving home where they can spend their golden years together. These two little dogs came to us from a very difficult situation and were in rough shape when they first arrived. With some much-needed veterinary care and a lot of kindness, they’re feeling much better and ready for a second chance. Chi Chi is a tiny Chihuahua mix with the sweetest little face and soulful eyes. She recently finished treatment for Lyme disease and also had a dental — she now has just three teeth left, which only adds to her adorable charm. Chi Chi does have some decreased cognitive abilities and may be experiencing some age-related dementia, but she still enjoys life, her meals, and the comfort of being close to her people and her best friend Rufus. Rufus, who we believe may be a Jack Russell mix, is the slightly scruffier gentleman of the pair. He also had a dental and has about five teeth remaining. Rufus still enjoys the simple things — especially short little walks outside and spending time exploring the yard. He keeps a watchful eye on Chi Chi and clearly takes his role as her companion seriously. Both dogs are very food motivated and absolutely love mealtime. They are not housetrained, so their future family should be prepared to manage that with patience and routine. They get along well with cats and other dogs, and older, respectful kids would be fine. Most importantly, they must be adopted together. After everything they’ve been through, they rely on each other for comfort and security. Chi Chi and Rufus don’t need much — just a clean, safe home, gentle care, and someone willing to give them the love they’ve likely been missing for most of their lives. In return, you’ll give two deserving seniors the chance to spend the rest of their days knowing warmth, kindness, and family. If you have room in your heart for a pair of little old souls who truly deserve peace and love, Chi Chi and Rufus are waiting to meet you. Special adoption fee for these seniors to be adopted together is $200. Adoption application can be found at this link- https://airtable.com/shrAznkHf1ruIqQwq

Story
Molly's mom went into nursing care and even though she was very loved, little Molly was left alone a lot with once a day care and a cat as her companion. But then her Mom decided it was best then to let her find a new forever home where she could get more care and attention, so we are looking for a quiet home where she can get lots of attention and maybe have someone to snuggle with. She is a very loving girl who will not give you any problems. She is much better now on her housetraining in her foster home, but she will need frequent potty breaks due to her age. She is spayed, up to date on shots and has had a few vet checks and is clear to find her new forever family who can give her lots of attention and cuddles! For an adoption application, please email us at: muttsandmore@comcast.net Once we have your application, then we will set up a time with her foster home for a meet and greet in person.

Story
Meet Therman, better known as Tiny Tim, a 4-year-old Chihuahua searching for a very special home. Tiny Tim requires a secure fenced yard and an adult female-only household. He is looking for an experienced female Chihuahua lover who truly appreciates all the classic traits that make Chihuahuas such unique companions.Tiny Tim knows exactly what he wants in life these days, and once you've earned his trust, you'll have a loyal friend for life. He loves nothing more than being with his person, showering them with kisses, snuggling under the blankets, sleeping in bed, and playing with his favorite tiny toys. If you're looking for a devoted shadow who wants to spend every moment by your side, Tiny Tim may be your perfect match. At just 5 pounds, Tiny Tim takes his role as protector very seriously. Strangers are not his thing, and he is not comfortable with men or children. He can be aggressive toward unfamiliar men, especially if they approach him or his person before trust has been established. Because of this, he needs a patient adopter who understands canine body language, respects his boundaries, and is willing to let him build trust at his own pace.Tiny Tim also has some strong opinions about leashes. His foster mom describes his leash-walking skills as nonexistent. Attempts to walk him on a leash are often met with dramatic screaming and alligator-style rolling. A secure fenced yard is required because he prefers to take care of his business safely outdoors without neighborhood strolls. While Tiny Tim is selective about his humans, he gets along well with other dogs and cats. He may sound like a dog with a long list of requirements, but the reality is much simpler: he's a little guy who has been through a lot and now knows what makes him feel safe and happy.Give Tiny Tim the understanding, patience, and stability he deserves, and he'll reward you with unwavering loyalty, endless affection, and the kind of bond only a Chihuahua can offer.Adoption application can be found at this link- https://airtable.com/shrAznkHf1ruIqQwq

Story
Hello! I'm Diego! I am a three-year-young Chiweenie with a heart twice the size of my (admittedly very cute) ears! If you’re looking for a professional nap-taker, you might want to keep looking—I’m all about that happy, high-energy life. A Little About Me: The Look: Part Chihuahua, part Dachshund, 100% adorable. I’ve got the spirit of a big dog in a compact, travel-sized package. The Vibe: I wake up with a wagging tail and keep it going until bedtime. I believe everything is a game, and everyone is a potential best friend. The Hobby: Playing! Whether it’s zoomies in the yard, a spirited game of tug-of-war, or investigating a very interesting squeaky toy, I’m your dog. My Ideal Home: While I love my humans, I’m really looking for a partner in crime. I thrive when I have another young, playful dog to keep me company. I have a lot of "play" stored up in these short legs, and I’m at my absolute best when I have a furry sibling to wrestle and run with. If you have a home filled with toys, a sunny spot for post-play snoozing, and a resident dog who needs a new bestie, I’m ready to move in and start the party! ##2712829##
