Hi there! Leroy and Patches checking in! We are still available and waiting for our forever family. In the meantime, our foster mom and dad have figured out a lot of stuff by getting to know us better. We are bonded brothers who came to PetSearch by no fault of our own. Our original parents no longer could care for us due their age and health. We love to run free in a fenced in yard - we are weirded out by collars, harness and leashes (foster mom has tried everything- she can wrestle a collar onto us and walk us about 5 min until we back out of our collars) so a fenced in yard is a must for us. We are homebodies & do not like to travel unless it's going to get some chicken nuggets at the drive thru. We would love someone who’s home most of the day but short times alone are just fine with us too! We love our foster brothers/sisters and kitties but crave more attention than we get here since we have to share with a lot of them! We want most of the snuggles, love, and attention. We would be best in a house with no other dogs - but We are good with other small dogs as long as they aren’t confrontational. Patches wants to be the boss and protects Leroy with all his brotherly love - these two are inseparable and will snuggle and play all day with each other and with humans, but they’re couch potatoes at heart. Our foster mama says our puppy-kiss attacks make her day. We are scared of cages for long periods of time but ok for a couple hours, a closed off room is perfect for us but you’ve gotta leave give us something comfy to lay on. We are outside and pee-pad trained with the occasional accident (chihuahuas have small bladders) we are good with children 10-up and like a calm environment as we get worried and worked up with new surroundings and noise - Due to this, Previous chihuahua experience preferred but all are welcome to apply. We do come on command and most times will stay when told to. Leroy catches treats in his mouth and will try anything for food! If you give us a chance and a little patience we will be your best snuggle buddies for life! Sometimes a name just fits, and Precious is definitely one of those dogs. At 10 years young, she's a sweet, gentle, low-energy girl who can be timid at first, but give her a little time and her affectionate personality begins to shine. Precious gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has settled right into her foster pack (3 large dogs and 2 other chihuahuas) she's even starting to play a little! She loves being near her person—curling up beside her foster mom while she works or occasionally deciding they should share the office chair. She enjoys cuddles but is also perfectly content relaxing on her own. Once Precious bonds with you, she becomes your little lookout and will alert you when she hears something unfamiliar. She's shy with new visitors and just needs a little time to warm up. She's crate trained, walks well and has the cutest little prance. She gets around great and even uses a stool to hop onto the bed. Precious is also discovering TREATS—and she's a big fan! She's got quite the nose for people food, too. One exception: peanut butter is unacceptable. Precious has standards. She's still working on potty training and will let you know when she needs a nighttime potty break. She has no known pre-existing medical conditions. Precious may be 10, but she's still discovering new things and showing us more of her personality every day. She's looking for a patient, loving home where she can enjoy plenty of cozy spots, treats (hold the peanut butter!) and companionship. Sweet, gentle and just a little shy—that's our Precious. Peanut has a big dog personality and if he sees other dogs, he gets super excited, and the yipping sounds scary, but he just wants to play!! He's a nipper and he likes to jump on you out of excitement and although he LOVES kids, he should be in.a home with older kids Peanut is still young, and has plenty of energy to play and run.He has been known to be a runner- He will take off and think, it's a GAME and it will be hard to catch him, so careful at the doors nd fences ;) But smart sweet pup loves kisses and lay on your lap . He walks good on a leash i put 2 one on harness and collar since I don't want him to get loose. (harnesses are too easy to get out of, so a martingale collar is his best collar) He can upset a bigger or smaller dog if they don't have a tolerance for nippiness.In the face kinda of thing he loved to play and he runs super fast lol 😆 they would have to be extra careful that he never gets out of front.Door or takes off he laughing fast 😅 Poor little guy almost got run over on these big streets all alone, and we NEVER want that to happen to him again.
