Story
We are brother and sister and we’ll be 3 years old in August. We are very sweet and we love each other very much so we need to be adopted together. We sleep in our crate together every night. Auggie(B&W) is very fast and loves to run around so he needs a watchful eye sometimes. Peta(B&T) isn’t quite as fast, but she loves snuggles and belly rubs and will roll over for one every chance she gets. Our mom isn’t home as much as she’d like to be since starting a new job. We’d do great going to a place where someone is home to be with us and give us the love we deserve. We’re great with kids but a little nervous around BIG dogs because we’re so small but we can learn to be friends.

Story
Meet Rascal   Rascal is a 8 month-old Chihuahua or Rat Terrier mix (we think he might have a bit of Yorkie in him too!) who’s ready to find his forever person. His name suits him quite right - He is a bit of a Rascal.  Well let us share - at no fault of his, he lacked socialization in the early puppy stages. Therefore, the world is new and a bit scary to him.  He seems to do best with women more than men - although he is fine with men if they give him sometime to warm up.  Now, Rascal does need a little time and patience. He’s reactive when meeting new people and dogs, but once he gets to know you, his sweet personality will shine. But it isn't going to happen in one visit. It may take two. But in the first hour Rascal arrived at his foster mom's house .. he was barking lunging & snapping. Little Tough Guy. So, she did what she knows to do best for him ... ignored him.  And then, when he settled and realized she meant him no harm, she pulled him out of his crate and he welcomed her ... slowly. But within 24 hours, they were best friends. He listens to her well with a correction should he play to hard with her dogs and/or a new person comes into the home. He trusts his foster and he knows she will keep him safe so he is able to let his scared guard down. He needs a home where, once he builds a solid relationship with his adopter, he knows that she/he will keep him safe and he can trust. Yes, he will bark and run up to someone new who enters your house but once you given a Ahhh Ahhh Ahhh or No Rascal, pick him up and allow him the opportunity to introduce him to someone new - he is fine. So, if you are not willing to put the time in to give a puppy like a chance, please don't apply.   Because of his sensitivity, Rascal needs a home without children and would do best in a calm, quiet environment without young children and with someone who understands his need for slow introductions and a steady routine.  It's a lot to ask for - we realize ... No cats, no cats, limited people in and out of the home unless you are willing to put him away in his safe crate in another room till your guests leave OR properly take the time to introduce him slowly to new folks. Once he trusts you and you build a trust with him, he would benefit from slow and patient socialization and desensitation to the world around him. He is young and has so much to learn - he can overcome this fear given his young age but ONLY if you are invested in a long term commitment to his young pup.  Give Rascal the chance to be your loyal little best friend—he’s ready to love you forever. Apply now at www.crossyourpaws.com to get pre-approved and be ready to welcome Rascal into your home! #TinyTornadoes #CrossYourPawsRescue #AdoptDontShop #May4thArrival #RescuePups  ##2380465##

Ready for a new friend? Meet Honey! Honey is a sweet dog, just like her name she is oozing with affection and love. She is a very medium/small sized beagle/chi mix, she is housebroken and likes to let people know when she needs to go out by pawing at your legs. Loves to cuddle with you, she can be a velcro dog sometimes and will make your couch her permanent home!. Honey doesn't like to share her affection with others and is adoptable into a single dog/animal home. She does tolerate the foster mom's kitties but honestly she would really love to be the center of someone's life. She has MORE than enough love and devotion to fill your heart every day. She is crate trained. She loves to sleep in the bed too! If you are looking for the yin to your yang, the bread to your jam or the pup to your life... HONEY is the ONE!!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Now, don't tell me you don't remember Fred and Ginger, his ginger haired dance partner ;) If you are a millennial you may not but the REST of us do!! SO, where was I?? Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers are such awesome namesakes for us... we are ATTACHED at the hip to each other and we operate in dance like moves when we are together.... so YES we are a BONDED pair of cuties!! We are lanky chis, most likely Min Pin/Chi mixes with the long and elegant legs and sweet, playful personalities. Ginger is more reserved and shy than her boyfriend Fred. They need to stay in TX because transport would be hard on them. So you have definitely learned some about us... we are young and teeny weeny :) yes that is a word!! We are learning all the home stuff, like leash training, crate and house training and we have excelled at all!! So if you are looking for a lap pup and one that will be one someday.. we are YOUR PUPS!!! Adopt us together and get double the love for LIFE!!! Local adoption only, together $400 (in TX)

Story
Clifton and Cara What do you do, when the only family you ever knew suddenly passes away? I mean when you get over the shock, the crying and the emptiness that follows? Me neither! That is what happened to me and my sister Cara. (Only she was called little mama by our former owner, but she was never a little mama so foster mom changed it. She didn’t come to it anyhow.) When our person passed away, the family took us to the groomers who did our baths and left us there. None of our former family wanted us so we went to rescue. And, luckily, our foster mom loves us and thinks we are wonderful! We kind of like her too! We are believed to be brother and sister and have been together all our lives, and are currently 10 years old. We groom each other and sleep near each other and share each other’s food bowls. I don’t know what we would do without each other and that is why foster mom would like to have us adopted together. Clifton is the most outgoing of the two. He seeks out people for attention and treats and loves to be around people or other dogs. He is housebroken or will use a potty pad inside at night if he must go. Clifton weighs 9 pounds. The vet found a heart murmur of 4 out of 6. We are checking if meds are needed for that. Cara is the quieter of the pair. She loves to spend the day sleeping on your pillow in bed or she will curl up beside you at night to share your warmth and covers if you let her. She is also mostly housebroken and uses a potty pad when needed. She weighs 7 pounds. Both are healthy and have just had their dental surgeries done, and are ready to be adopted, if they can go together. They are quiet and loving and deserve a great home. If you are interested, please fill out an application. $300 In State Adoption Fee (in Texas) for both of us. $600 Out of State Fee (includes Transportation to your area) for both of us.
