Meet very handsome Apollo! 6 year old Apollo is a Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix looking for his furever home. He is very energetic and will be his best within an active family with older children. He loves cuddling with his cat friends (or just cuddling in general), going for long walks, and curling up on someone's lap on the couch at the end of the day. He would do best in a home without other dogs since he's pretty much alpha. He is UTD on shots, HW negative, microchipped, and takes Heartgard monthly. Hello. My name is Chyanne. I am a seven year oldish male little mix dog. I’m not really sure what kind I am, I’m just cute, I know that. Let me tell you my story. I lived in a single wide trailer with another little dog and my owner that is in her 80’s. She went into the nursing home because she is not able to take care of us or herself. I am generally a happy little guy and I am super smart. Like anyone I have faults. I’m stubborn and sometimes if I’m scared i want to nip sometimes so if you have some patience I’m just perfect for you. I have a little boo boo on my nose. I am learning kennel training and I try to open the door with my nose. It’s getting better. I’m learning my nose won’t open it. I had to learn not using the potty in the house. I have done well with that. Where I am living right now gets up a 6 am to me ruffing at the door to go out and potty. I think it’s a fair trade! I don’t potty in the house, they get up early! I am super friendly and like other animals of all kinds! I need a forever home. Please give me a chance!Available dogs are met by appointment only and pre-approved adopters ONLY.Our dogs are currently in a foster homes which can answer your questions better than anyone else. We promise our fosters that we will qualify all potential adopters before we ask them to communicate with potential adopters.The application is the first step. Chico seems to be an “old soul” and likes attention once he likes you. He doesn’t seem to like younger people and still refuses to come to my son. He does however love all older people and comes straight up to them. He does let me and my dad pick him up. Sometimes when he’s in a comfortable spot he will growl if you try to move him though. He is still a cuddle buddy though as you can see! He will need someone with patience and no kids in the house. If he growls leave him be!Here’s a pupdate on Chico…he’s settled in to his foster home quite nicely. He is the quinticential lap dog. Lots of cuddling and loads of energy. Doing great on walks. Housebroken. Loves sleeping in mom’s bed at night. I crate him for a few hours a day when I go to work because he’s not always nice to the other dogs in the house. This guy is a growler…at dogs and at humans if you try to pick him up or move him quickly. He lets you know whem he’s not sure what you’re doing Is ok. He hasn’t bitten anyone or even nipped. We back off and give him plenty of space as soon as we hear the growl.He would do well in a house as an only dog with experienced dog owners…dont know if I would trust him with kids…simply because they might not know when enough is enough. He’s also skeptical of men. Regardless…he’s a sweet little guy and we’re really enjoying him.Chico’s personality is really starting to come through. I believe he’s a Chiweenie…long narrow body, always on the move, bouncy gait and a bark too big for his little body. He does have some bad behavior that we are working on…he’s already very possessive of me and snaps and growls at my dogs when they get close to me. We are working on boundaries and behavior. He hasn’t shown any aggression towards humans, just the other dogs in the house. He seems to be a quick learner and hopefully with time and consistency the behavior will subside. Overall we’re really enjoying him.Well someone is a lap dog! Chico is quite the snuggle bug!! First night here and he’s already making himself at home. No accidents, used a pee pad last night and went out first thing in the morning. So far so good.Just sprang Chico from boarding…what a sweet little boy…he’s getting braver by the minute…slow and steady wins the trust!Chico is in need of a foster or adopter! He’s a tiny little guy about 5 pounds! He’s super scared and shy so he will need someone to be patient with him while he learns to trust you! If you want a dog, you can scoop up and cuddle right away he is not going to be the one for you. He takes time to warm up! Chico is a little chi that needs a home with some structure. He has been given too much authority in his current home and sets the rules on who can and cannot come it. Easy fix if with positive training and a little time. Peppermint Patty is such a sweet older lady at 12. She loves to sleep under the covers at night and naps. She has about 4 favorite places to nap. She loves being outside sitting in the sun and exploring the yard. She has a little playful side as well. Not for very long but when it happens it's adorable. She spins when she's excited. She rarely barks unless you are not doing what she wants which almost never happens because I dote on her. She gets along with my small dogs very well. They ignore each other most of the time. She's precious!Peppermint Patty is doing great! Loves to wander around the yard many times a day. Sleeps under blankets and loves to be petted. She is going to do great in a house with someone who can let her out often. She's great with my dogs who are all small. She not much of a barker, one of the only times she's barked was to get me out of bed at 5am!Peppermint Pattys owner passed away and she is looking for a new forever home. Peppermint Patty was adopted several years ago as a rescue. She had had a litter of puppies but no one wanted her. She is a quiet shy little lady. She has to take medicine twice a day for a gastro problem. Other than that she is a health sweet girl.
