Hello. My name is Chyanne. I am a seven year oldish male little mix dog. I’m not really sure what kind I am, I’m just cute, I know that. Let me tell you my story. I lived in a single wide trailer with another little dog and my owner that is in her 80’s. She went into the nursing home because she is not able to take care of us or herself. I am generally a happy little guy and I am super smart. Like anyone I have faults. I’m stubborn and sometimes if I’m scared i want to nip sometimes so if you have some patience I’m just perfect for you. I have a little boo boo on my nose. I am learning kennel training and I try to open the door with my nose. It’s getting better. I’m learning my nose won’t open it. I had to learn not using the potty in the house. I have done well with that. Where I am living right now gets up a 6 am to me ruffing at the door to go out and potty. I think it’s a fair trade! I don’t potty in the house, they get up early! I am super friendly and like other animals of all kinds! I need a forever home. Peppermint Patty is such a sweet older lady at 12. She loves to sleep under the covers at night and naps. She has about 4 favorite places to nap. She loves being outside sitting in the sun and exploring the yard. She has a little playful side as well. Not for very long but when it happens it's adorable. She spins when she's excited. She rarely barks unless you are not doing what she wants which almost never happens because I dote on her. She gets along with my small dogs very well. They ignore each other most of the time. She's precious!Peppermint Patty is doing great! Loves to wander around the yard many times a day. Sleeps under blankets and loves to be petted. She is going to do great in a house with someone who can let her out often. She's great with my dogs who are all small. Poor Groot!!He was almost kill by dogs attacking him and now stuck at a Shelter where he is surrounded by loud barking dogs and smells like fear.He was attacked by dogs in 2023. Not only is he an older gentlemen this poor little guy is blind. Just imagine how scary that must have been. He was there for a few days before Miss Sabra was made aware of this plight. A foster was found in Arkansas and now Lucky is saved from the shelter. Now he is in Tennessee looking for his forever home. This little guy is a delight. He is good with other dogs and he LOVES people. Lucky gets around just fine once he has figured the house out. He likes nothing better though than to be in the chair or on the sofa with you. Actually on you. He loves to cuddle and is a great little companion. Lucky is comfortable in a crate and does not mind sleeping in one but he would like to be in the same room with you. He will also ride in the crate while you do errands as long as it is not too hot or cold. Lucky does his business as soon as his feet hit the grass and will use a pee pad if you are not home. Rodney is a very curious, mischievous little guy who gets into everything, just like a little puppy. They say this guy is around 8 years of age and weighs 12 pounds, but he acts like a kid and he shows it by running a lot out of pure joy and fun and he adores being outdoors and laying in the sun. He is not good on a leash yet and is not housebroken but we are working on both. Cats are not welcome in his world at this point because he finds them strange and annoying. But he redeems himself with a family by loving to cuddle and snuggle. Can you believe that underbite he has? I mean it is the first thing you sort of notice about him. It might make him look tough but Rodney is a 'softie' through and through. He is just an adorable, sweet pup and he deserves a much better home than the hoarding conditions that he came from. Silver Sam is 5 years old and weighs 12 pounds. Part of a big hoarding case, he was taken to the shelter and there he sat for a few months. Critter Cavalry Rescue could not stand the thought that he was in that out of the way shelter where no one comes to adopt a dog. We pulled 7 dogs from that hoarding case and some had been there for 6 months. Sam is a hoot as they say. He is funny and active and must be watched if in a chain link fenced yard. He might find an escape route and take off just for the fun of it. He doesn’t go far but he sure does love the chase. He is good with other dogs and he is full of antics with the cats. He is almost housebroken and he is just the most loving lap dog ever. Such a great smile and attitude despite some terrible conditions in his previous life. He is with someone that loves the Chihuahua breed and understands all the little quirks. He really has not bad habits except the fun of occasionally making a run for it just to see you panic. Rusty is a handsome petite little 10 lb 1-year-old Chihuahua mix that was taken from an abusive family using a 2x4 to correct him when he was not doing what they wanted. All he was doing was trying to get attention for some love and affection that they did not have to give him. So he was punished in a physical and abusive way. Despite all of this this little guy bounce back with expectations from the foster mom who rescued him. His expectations were for her to love him like he had never been loved before and that is what he has been getting. This little guy is housebroken friendly with other dogs and cats as well. He is demonstrating a little bit of a back-end sway that we've had x-rayed and his spinal L2 has a slight deformity and has created this special little walk. Seems that he was born with this slight deformity. It doesn't stop him from being active or in any pain. This little guy needs a home to call his own and we suggest that he not be crated for 9 hours since he will protest loudly. He's great on walks and running around with other bigger dogs to play with. Critter Cavalry rescue learned of this little homeless girl just a few days ago when a rescue volunteer came upon her with her senior human mom who was admitted at the hospital facility where she works. This little girl came in with her human mom who had been dropped off on the streets of Nashville and abandoned by some relatives. This elderly woman has severe dementia and this little senior long hair Chihuahua was her only possession. This rescue lady, and a nurse, has taken her home on a temporary basis and Critter Cavalry is in need of a foster for her immediately. We are having full bloodwork, a dental and vetting done on Monday September 9th. This is when we need a foster for this 8 lb 10-year-old little girl named Precious.
