Azúcar will be traveling from Puerto Rico soon and is looking for either an adopter or foster waiting to welcome him when he arrives. Azúcar is a 3–4-year-old Chihuahua weighing just 8 lbs. He’s neutered, current on vaccines, and loves nothing more than being close to his people and curling up in a soft cozy spot for naps. His story is a sad but familiar one in Puerto Rico. Azúcar appeared to be lost and was posted in hopes someone would come forward for him, but after waiting, no one ever did. He appears to have had a broken or misformed jaw, but it doesn’t seem to cause him any pain or difficulties.  You have to look closely to notice it.   We hope to give him a second chance at the life and love he deserves. Napoleon is quite the character, as his name suggests. He came to us as a pretty fearful, aggressive pup, but with lots of work from his foster he is learning to trust humans and is getting a little overly confident now. He is learning that he is not in charge and he needs a human who will not bow down to his every whim and mood swing. His foster says, "Show no fear and he will love you!" As long as you aren't hesitant with him he does great and will let you do pretty much anything to him. But if someone is shy and hesitant around him he goes on a little tirade and can get growly and nippy . If you are an experienced, confident human who would love a little buddy, then Napoleon is for you!

Lucy came to Saver of Souls as a stray in poor health. You wouldn't believe that now! She has gained weight, has had a much needed dental, and her skin is looking wonderful. She is so much stronger. She does still has some weakness in her hind legs, but she improves almost daily. Lucy is an active senior dog, but also enjoys lap time. She is housebroken and loves a good walk. She needs more training on leash but is coming along. Lucy is a barker and so may not be suitable for apartment living. She gets along with other dogs but not cats. She seems to like children who know how to treat dogs. No tail pulling! Lucy is a lively and cute little dog who would do best in a quieter home. She deserves all the love you can give her.
