Story
Meet Sasquatch! You may have spotted this charming and elusive lady around the shelter, and now she’s ready to confidently make her way into a loving new home. Sasquatch came to us from another shelter, so her history is a bit of a mystery, but during her time here she has shown herself to be a sweet senior with just the right amount of sass and a whole lot of personality. She enjoys respectful interactions and can be a bit particular about her personal space, so she would do best in a home with children ages 6 and up. Sasquatch has done well with smaller, polite dogs while in our care, and we would be happy to arrange a dog introduction if you already have a canine companion. She does have a mass on her lower jaw; a biopsy was performed but results were inconclusive, meaning it could be an inflammatory lesion or a type of tumor that may require further diagnostics. She is currently comfortable, and her future family should be prepared to monitor the area for any signs of discomfort. If you’re looking for a special senior lady with charm, character, and plenty of heart, Sasquatch would love to meet you—just ask a kennel technician for assistance.

Story
Meet Lil Dude! This handsome little creature is hoping to be the newest addition to your family! Lil Dude is a small senior Chihuahua who can be a little nervous/timid of new people, so he will require any children in the home to be at least 6 or older along with having to meet any other dogs in the home prior to adoption. Please remember to do any introductions with either people, other animals, or places slowly! Additionally, he is 10+, so adopters should be prepared for a senior dog requiring annual vet visits/bloodwork. Lastly, Lil Dude will require a dental treatment prior to adoption, but thankfully our amazing clinic team next door will get him taken care of! If you have any questions about this handsome man or would like to visit, please speak with our kennel team & they will be happy to assist!

Story
Napoleon is quite the character, as his name suggests. He came to us as a pretty fearful, aggressive pup, but with lots of work from his foster he is learning to trust humans and is getting a little overly confident now. He is learning that he is not in charge and he needs a human who will not bow down to his every whim and mood swing. His foster says, "Show no fear and he will love you!" As long as you aren't hesitant with him he does great and will let you do pretty much anything to him. But if someone is shy and hesitant around him he goes on a little tirade and can get growly and nippy . If you are an experienced, confident human who would love a little buddy, then Napoleon is for you!

Story
Lucy came to Saver of Souls as a stray in poor health. You wouldn't believe that now! She has gained weight, has had a much needed dental, and her skin is looking wonderful. She is so much stronger. She does still has some weakness in her hind legs, but she improves almost daily. Lucy is an active senior dog, but also enjoys lap time. She is housebroken and loves a good walk. She needs more training on leash but is coming along. Lucy is a barker and so may not be suitable for apartment living. She gets along with other dogs but not cats. She seems to like children who know how to treat dogs. No tail pulling! Lucy is a lively and cute little dog who would do best in a quieter home. She deserves all the love you can give her.
