She is full of life and energy and has eyes that will stare deep into your soul. She is really working on her manners in her foster home and going back to the basics on puppy training. Kaycee is really quick to learn and is super treat motivated. Kaycee will need a chihuahua savvy owner and someone willing to stick to a routine and continue with her basic training. She will warm up to her new people quickly but strangers take her a minute or two. She is working on her confidence building and will need to be given some patience, support and guidance. She has been around other bigger dogs and a cat in her foster home and gets along well with all. She really wants to play with everyone so a playful cat or dog would be great for her. If there is another dog in the home they will need to be her same size or bigger than she is, as well as confident. While Kaycee is managing being on a leash, she would really prefer not to go out on walks in the big world yet. Strangers and barking dogs make her nervous outside of her home. She will need a secure fenced yard. In her future home, she will need to be fed in a crate, away from other pets . She must continue her basic training and confidence building. Kaycee is not house broken but she is doing really well on a schedule. She is crated when her foster parents leave during the day and at night and doesn’t have accidents in her crate. Meet Twinkles! This adorable little girl is having a much better go at life after being pulled from the shelter and getting to her loving foster family. Twinkles had a setback when coming into our rescue and had to have her eye removed due to an old injury prior to coming to us. Since having her eye removed she has really started to let her true pain-free personality shine through. Even with one eye, she is still the most adorable little girl. She does well with other dogs and cats in her foster home. She is kind of the queen and likes to rest near her foster parents. She isn’t much for cuddles but she does want to be wherever you are. She will bark happily to tell you how excited she is to see you when you arrive home daily! Twinkles is working on potty training, and while her foster mom is working really hard with her, she isn’t there yet. She will need a strict potty schedule and to be let out often to prevent accidents inside. She loves to play with her foster siblings and enjoys sunning herself in the Florida sunshine. Hi, I’m Rosalee, a vibrant Chi mix with a unique coat of red, black, white, and even some cool-looking blonde patches. I’m a spry little lady at just 1 year old and a light 17lbs. I’m spayed, up to date on all my vaccinations, and heartworm negative. I’m a social butterfly who gets along wonderfully with other dogs and children. I have spina bifida, which means I can’t be potty trained, but that doesn’t stop me from running and jumping joyfully. I’ve also had surgery for a luxating patella and have recovered beautifully, completing all my physical therapy like a champ. I’m looking for a family that will embrace my energetic spirit and my special needs with open arms. If you’re looking for a companion who’s full of life and love, I might just be the perfect addition to your home. Let’s make every day together a beautiful adventure! Rodney is a very curious, mischievous little guy who gets into everything, just like a little puppy. They say this guy is around 8 years of age and weighs 12 pounds, but he acts like a kid and he shows it by running a lot out of pure joy and fun and he adores being outdoors and laying in the sun. He is not good on a leash yet and is not housebroken but we are working on both. Cats are not welcome in his world at this point because he finds them strange and annoying. But he redeems himself with a family by loving to cuddle and snuggle. Can you believe that underbite he has? I mean it is the first thing you sort of notice about him. It might make him look tough but Rodney is a 'softie' through and through. He is just an adorable, sweet pup and he deserves a much better home than the hoarding conditions that he came from. Silver Sam is 5 years old and weighs 12 pounds. Part of a big hoarding case, he was taken to the shelter and there he sat for a few months. Critter Cavalry Rescue could not stand the thought that he was in that out of the way shelter where no one comes to adopt a dog. We pulled 7 dogs from that hoarding case and some had been there for 6 months. Sam is a hoot as they say. He is funny and active and must be watched if in a chain link fenced yard. He might find an escape route and take off just for the fun of it. He doesn’t go far but he sure does love the chase. He is good with other dogs and he is full of antics with the cats. He is almost housebroken and he is just the most loving lap dog ever. Such a great smile and attitude despite some terrible conditions in his previous life. He is with someone that loves the Chihuahua breed and understands all the little quirks. He really has not bad habits except the fun of occasionally making a run for it just to see you panic.
