Story
Hi, I’m Rosalee, a vibrant Chi mix with a unique coat of red, black, white, and even some cool-looking blonde patches. I’m a spry little lady at just 1 year old and a light 17lbs. I’m spayed, up to date on all my vaccinations, and heartworm negative. I’m a social butterfly who gets along wonderfully with other dogs and children. I have spina bifida, which means I can’t be potty trained, but that doesn’t stop me from running and jumping joyfully. I’ve also had surgery for a luxating patella and have recovered beautifully, completing all my physical therapy like a champ. I’m looking for a family that will embrace my energetic spirit and my special needs with open arms. If you’re looking for a companion who’s full of life and love, I might just be the perfect addition to your home. Let’s make every day together a beautiful adventure! I am being fostered in Hampton, VA but can be transported to nearby areas for a well-fitting and supportive home. You must be 21 or older to apply. Fill out an application today if you think we might be a match!

Story
Sometimes we never know what we will see when we start up our car and leave the safety of our homes and our beloved pets that wait for us to return.  Sometimes what we see on the road is disturbing and downright WRONG.     This pair of Chihuahuas were discovered by one of our faithful rescue fosters as she traveled a back country road that was mostly farmland and very few  houses on the road.  First she say the little white chihuahua in the road and he ran from her and wouldn’t let her catch him.  She tried for a while.  Then she went to the nearest house and talked to a man who was out in his yard about this white Chihuahua.  He told her who owned the land where the dog was seen running and so a few days later she went back determined to ride up and down the road until she could see the dog again.  Well there were TWO little chihuahuas now; white and black and tan.  She found the owners of the land and asked them about the Chis and was told they were dropped off by some unknown person and that they had been up in their barn trying to eat the cow feed. They were abandoned and soon our rescue foster trapped them and brought them home to change their life forever.  We are getting them vetted and neutered and spayed 1/26. WE NEED FOSTER HELP!   The white boy is very shy and the black and tan is a female and the “protector” of her male friend.  Help us give them a short term place to stay while we look for a permanent and forever loving home!  Can you help for a few weeks?  Please contact us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com.  They can be fostered in Nashville, TN or even in the New England area.  We transport weekly and just need someone to show them kindness, love and stability.  They will be ever so grateful!   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 5, 2024, 3:15 pm

Story
This special girl is called Joni and she is a 2-3 year old Chihuahua girl that weighs 11 pounds and looking for a dream home.  This girl who has been a momma with babies before, was found with what we believe to be one of her puppies, a son named Chachi, who is white and a year old now.     This girl was found  abandoned in a very remote rural area that was nothing but countryside farm land.  The owners of the farm told us that they both showed up and had been there looking for food and shelter for over a week.  Our rescue foster mom couldn’t stand to see them left outside in the cold and with no place to be safely sheltered.  They would not come to her and so she humanely trapped them and took them home.  The rest will be history for both of these Chihuahuas.  Momma Joni is a sweet and confident girl who still takes her protective mothering responsibilities seriously.  She is still mothering and overseeing her son Chachi.  She is housebroken pretty well and crate trained and she does get along with the other small dogs in the foster home…and the cat too!  We have promised Momma Joni that she will never be thrown out and abandoned ever again.   She is ready for a new and loving owner to sweep her away on a little magic carpet to live happily ever after.   Is that you holding the key to her heart and forever future!?  Contact us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 5, 2024, 3:15 pm

Story
Meet Miss Summer.  This extremely sweet little lady had a hard first 6 years as she endured all kinds of filth and neglect living in the home or a hoarder.  She had 20 other dogs to keep her company so she is great with other dogs.  The horrible conditions did not adversely affect Miss Summer too much.  While she is a little shy, she still has the bright and sweet personality her name reflects.  She has experienced so much since going to her foster home and is growing more confident every day.  Since she really has had no life experiences everything is new to her.  She is getting used to riding in the car as she has already been to the vet twice.  Her foster mom is attempting to teach her to walk on a leash.  It is a slow go but as Summer gains confidence she will improve.  This little lady is a little cuddle bug and loves to be with her foster mom.  She does sleep with her as her foster brothers and sister do.  Summer's favorite place is on the back of the couch.  She is quite the athletic one and easily jumps from the floor to the chair to the back of the couch.  She can definitely see what is going on from her perch.  Summer has learned that you do 'your business' outside. On day 6 she started  'going' outside and also started doing zoomies around the yard.  Summer loves to lay in the sun so a fenced in yard is key to her happiness.  She loves her foster brothers and sister and warms up quickly to new people.  You just have to talk softly to her and take your time.  Even when her tail is between her legs it is wagging.  That shows you how sweet she really is.  This little lady loves to smell you first then give your hand little kisses.  She is much more about the people than the other dogs.  If you are looking for a precious little lady to add to your family, then please consider Miss Summer.  You will make a huge difference in her life and you won't be sorry.  Summer is spayed, current on all her shots, heartworm negative and microchipped.  She also now has pearly white teeth as she has had a dental.  To be considered for Summer's forever family please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Summer is currently in Tennessee but can be transported north upon adoption.)May 5, 2024, 3:15 pm

Story
Rodney is a very curious, mischievous little guy who gets into everything, just like a little puppy. They say this guy is around 8 years of age and weighs 12 pounds, but he acts like a kid and he shows it by running a lot out of pure joy and fun and he adores being outdoors and laying in the sun. He is not good on a leash yet and is not housebroken but we are working on both. Cats are not welcome in his world at this point because he finds them strange and annoying.  But he redeems himself with a family by loving to cuddle and snuggle.  Can you believe that underbite he has?  I mean it is the first thing you sort of notice about him.  It might make him look tough but Rodney is a 'softie' through and through.  He is just an adorable, sweet pup and he deserves a much better home than the hoarding conditions that he came from.  Maybe you want to help him see the blessings of a new home and secure lifestyle.  He will make you laugh, he will make you smile and he will make you feel loved!  Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested in giving him a forever home.  Please tell us the city and state that you live in when you write to us. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 5, 2024, 3:15 pm

Story
Sam Silver is a handsome and most unusually colored Chihuahua boy that is only 5 years old and a perfect size at just 12 pounds.  This boy is an athlete and can climb any mountain and jump across any river.  Thus we call him .....a little escape artist. He loves being outside and laying in the sun where he is cultivating his summer tan.  This guy gets along with people, other dogs but has decided that cats are NOT his cup of tea.  He loves to terrorize the foster cats who are smart, fast and not about to get caught. If they leave his room then he is fine.  That is all he wants.  Sam Silver is good on a leash and we are working on housebreaking. He’s a snuggler both on the couch and as a bed bug under the covers at nighttime. He’s just so much fun to watch as he explores this new foster home after he escaped the tiny God forbidden shelter he was in because his owner was a terrible hoarder with a nasty environment.  He deserves a peaceful and fun family.  Is that you?  Please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested.  Please tell us where you live, city and state.  We transport from Tennessee to many places in the northeast.    PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 5, 2024, 3:15 pm
