Meet Gabriella! Gabriella may be a senior, but please don’t tell her that—shes convinced shes still a puppy! Gabriella was very loved by her previous owner, and giving her up was an incredibly difficult decision. Gabriella adored her mom and wanted to be by her side all the time. She would get so excited that she would jump up to greet her and shower her with affection. Unfortunately, her owner was older and unsteady on her feet, and she became worried that Gabriellas enthusiasm might accidentally knock her down and cause them both to be injured. As heartbreaking as it was, she knew Gabriella needed a home with someone who could safely keep up with her playful, energetic spirit. When Gabriella came to us, we discovered she had a very large mammary tumor. Her previous owner simply didnt have the financial means to provide the surgery she needed. After talking with our veterinarian, we knew Gabriella still had plenty of life, love, and happiness ahead of her, so we made sure she received the care she deserved. Gabriellas surgery was a success, and she has done fantastic! She is back to being her happy, playful, joyful self—running, jumping, playing, and enjoying life just like the puppy she believes she is. Now theres only one thing missing: a family of her very own. Gabriella is looking for someone who sees beyond the word senior and recognizes the fun-loving girl she truly is. She needs a family who can keep up with her youthful spirit, give her plenty of love and attention, and let her spend her golden years enjoying every minute of life. If you have room in your heart and home for a senior girl with the heart of a puppy, Gabriella may be the one youve been waiting for!

Quarantine up July 16th, 2026 Meet Twinkie! ❤️ Twinkie is an adorable 10-pound Chihuahua with the sweetest personality you could ask for. She came to us from a shelter in deep South Texas with a severely injured eye that had to be removed, but that hasn’t slowed her down one bit. At around four years old, Twinkie is gentle, loving, and gets along beautifully with other dogs. She has a kind, easygoing nature, and I can truly see her fitting into just about any family—whether you have children, other dogs, or you’re simply looking for a loyal little companion. Twinkie is currently located in Hondo, Texas, but we do transport! Be sure to check the transport schedule on our website—we may already have a trip planned near you. Twinkie tested positive for Chagas but please do to let that scare you. She is doing great on treatment and the app cost is $30 per month for every 20 lbs of dog weight so not much at all. Meet Gabriel! Gabriel is our rescue’s official “Walmart greeter.” He has never met a stranger and loves everyone he meets—people and dogs alike. His sweet, outgoing personality makes him the first to welcome visitors with a wagging tail and a happy heart. Gabriel came to Tracy’s Paws Rescue after his beloved owner passed away. He is deeply bonded with his best friend, Evangeline. While Gabriel is the confident, social one, Evangeline relies on him for comfort and security. She becomes anxious when he isn’t nearby, so they are looking for a forever home together. Gabriel is truly a no-drama, easygoing companion. His favorite place in the world is curled up in someone’s lap, soaking up all the love and attention he can get. He’s also working on getting back to his ideal weight with a healthy diet, and we’re excited to help him shed a few extra pounds. Gabriel is currently being fostered just outside the Chicago area.
