He adores snuggling with his people, but he’s just as happy exploring the yard and following his nose — sniffing is his favorite hobby. He’s a sweet, easy companion with a medium‑length coat, fully vetted and ready for a home that enjoys both couch time and little adventures. Draco is the perfect mix of affectionate and curious, and he’s ready to meet his forever family. For Western WA adopters: We will be meeting approved adopters in Ellensburg within the next 1–2 weeks. If you are unable to travel east, we will do our best to coordinate a volunteer hand‑off closer to your area. When rescuers first saw him, he was shivering in the corner of a cage, terrified of human touch. We couldn't give up on him, so he was rescued just in time to give him a second chance at life. 3️⃣ Basic Information * With People: Is very shy and takes a long time to open up to new people. Needs a patient family who can wait for him to feel safe. * With Dogs: Gets along very well with his friends at our center. * With Cats: Tends to chase them, so caution is required. * Separation Anxiety: Unknown because he currently lives in a group setting at our center. * Potty Training: Unknown, but he currently prefers outdoor potty breaks. * Walks: Showed great walking skills during his time at the training center. * Hygiene: Was very well-behaved during grooming and hygiene care at the training center. * Because he is fearful, he may try to nip if forced into something. A gentle approach is essential. * Absolutely loves treats! * Is still scared of human touch. Needs time to learn that hands are for love, not for fear.
