Story
The Seattle Animal Shelter is committed to reducing length of stay for all of our shelter pets! Some pets qualify for FREE or reduced adoption fees, please inquire with our Animal Care team to learn more.Gladys is a 10-year-old beauty who’s the perfect mix of calm and cuddly! Her foster mom says she’s “the easiest foster I’ve ever had!” With her loving, gentle personality, Gladys spends her days lounging, soaking up belly rubs, cuddles, and kisses, and just being the sweetest companion you could ask for.Gladys is fully potty trained, rarely barks, and is wonderfully low-maintenance. She’s happy with gentle, easy walks but is just as content to relax at home with her favorite humans, ready to be your best snuggle buddy. A true people-lover, she’ll bring so much warmth and loyalty into her forever home. She’s great with kids and does well on her own when left alone. While Gladys is friendly with other dogs, she can be a little protective over her food, so she will need to be fed separately from other animals in the home or the only dog in the household. If you’re looking for a laid-back, affectionate companion who’s all about love, Gladys would love to be the calm and steady presence in your life! Come meet this wonderful girl – she might just be the perfect fit for you!Pets are complex beings and prior to adoption, interested adopters will be counseled by a staff member to discuss the specific needs for each animal. His legs are a little bit shorter than your average husky, and we think that makes him very charming. Stubbs has been making friends with the volunteers and staff at the shelter, walking well on leash and excited to meet new friends. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Little Miss SHELBY is a sweetheart with a big smile and a nonstop tail wag!  Based on her size, we expect she is a malamute and husky mix, bringing the best of both breeds.  She knows basic commands, "sit", "down" and "wait" but could use further training.  She is food motivated which will help when teaching her new commands and tricks.  SHELBY is good on the leash and will enjoy joining you on all of your outdoor adventures.  She is a  loving, playful, active girl who generally does well with other dogs once they have established who is boss in the house (hint: it's her!). SHELBY has food allergies that will require a special diet and lifetime of medication.  Therefore, she needs a family that can afford her medications, special food and has the time to administrator them. SHELBY would love for you to open up your home to her and she promises to not steal the couch...well, at least not the whole couch! SHELBY is currently being fostered by a loving family in Eastern Washington.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 11, 2024, 9:23 pm
