Story
I'm Narang, a 6-year-old Jindo Chow mix with a heart full of love. I was rescued just in time from a shelter in Iksan Si where I was sadly facing euthanasia. I adore people so much that I might bark a bit when I first meet someone new, but it's just my way of saying hello. In no time, I'll be nudging you for pets and cuddles. I'm polite with other dogs; I'll say hello, but I'm not much of a rough player. If another dog barks, I might get a bit excited, so I prefer a calm atmosphere. Food, though, I don't mind sharing at all, whether it's with humans or furry friends. During walks, I might pull on the leash a bit, but I'm generally good at following your lead. I'm currently recovering from heartworm treatment, so occasional diarrhea is part of my healing process. However, I'm a good eater and prefer doing my business outside. I dream of finding a forever home where I can be the center of someone's world. If you're looking for a loving companion who craves your affection and is ready to share a lifetime of joy, I'm your girl. Let's make memories together! Adopt me, and let's start our journey of love and happiness. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIsLTtIpe3Jzj_0ZnVvkvGDkBXoz2jVy1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H40gvTvIdsc&list=PLIsLTtIpe3Jzj_0ZnVvkvGDkBXoz2jVy1&index=4 https://youtu.be/H40gvTvIdsc?si=RsAUfxedNW1lXidc https://youtu.be/F4ec8oStfa8?si=OjuCqoVAgFVeFy8x https://youtu.be/HsilthM_ef0?si=reHSkb851kMpBHKt

Story
We got Yeo when he was 8 weeks old, since then he has been a constant companion in our home and one of the most amazing pets we have ever owned. Yeo gets along well with other dogs and often plays with my one-year-old at home. He loves walking outside the home and going to dog parks. Since he is a guard dog, he is not that friendly to strangers who come to our place but warms up once he gets to know them. Our dog has no special needs and he can stay anywhere inside the home. We have trained him extensively with a trainer and often responds to commands like yeooo, go, sit, etc. He is up to date with all the meds, and vaccines and quite recently we neutered him. We require a family who can love him as much as we loved him.

Story
Animal Profile:  Millie was listed as a ~2 year old retriever mix, but based on her personality we think she is maybe a little Chow with a sprinkle of street dog. She weighs 32lbs. She is a traveler at heart - she walked herself right across an international bridge and found herself in Del Rio, TX. Our rescue partners scooped her up and she is enjoying life in foster care. Warm bed, squeaky toys, and people and pets to play with. We are excited to meet this happy girl here in Seattle! Foster Update: Update on this girly.  She's doing great! She has settled in enough that she will work for cheese on our walks and is giving good engagement. She's getting 2, hour plus walks every day and is now way more comfortable around bikes and strangers. Honestly if I didn't have a senior kitty I'd be tempted to keep her; she’s got good house manners and is very well behaved in her crate. Millie is a little insecure meeting new people that come right into her space, and she prefers to take things slow but does warm up. With continued training and proper socialization she’ll be a wonderful addition to the right family. She has already learned sit, down and come and has pretty good recall with minimal effort. She lives to sniff and enjoyed her hike, pretty easy going on leash, but also needs proper intros to new dogs. Millie would do best in a single family home with a fenced yard - she loves to sit outside and enjoy the smells.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog is being transferred from Animal Advocacy & Rescue, our partner in Del Rio Texas, and arriving via Paws Up Rescue on 03/25/24 to the Seattle area. This dog will be fostered in the greater Seattle area and available for adoption once evaluated in foster care. July 26, 2024, 1:04 pm

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Hi, I'm Astro, a 8-year-old Chow/Lab mix. Don't let my serious face fool you, I'm a goofy sweet guy! I like to get to know my people slowly, but once I do I love your pets and scratches and I'll even sit in your lap! I'm very food motivated and guard my food and toys with growls and can be stubborn. I love to go for walks and walk well on a leash. I know lots of commands (sit, stay, up, down, lay down, shake, wait, let's go) and love performing for treats. I was recently in a foster home and here are some of my likes/dislikes that they shared about me… Like: food!, exercise/walks and agility, butt scratches, sleeping in my crate, chewing my toys, watching out the window, music, water, other dogs, comfy beds, getting baths Don't like: brushes, towels and loud trucks Astro would do best as the only dog in a house without kids or other small animals since he can be protective and is strong. He will need a family familiar with protection breeds like chows. Astro is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. His fee is $200.

Story
Hi! My name is Rusty and I am available for adoption.I was brought in by an Animal Control Officer on 07/11/24 when I was found abandonded in a crate ):I have been sad and shutdown here at the shelter, not understanding why I am here. My caretakers think that I would be a fun, outgoing boy once I warm up to you. My previous owners wouldn`t say much about us, but what they did say was, `friendly and playful.`I walk well on leash and I know how to keep a tidy kennel!I am a gentle and loving dog who likes to take things slow. I may get nervous in new situations, so I am looking for a family who understands that I might take some time to warm up. Once I get to know you, I will be a very devoted friend!

Story
Jesse was born on a farm and was rehomed to me when she was 3 years old. She is currently 8 years old and her birthday is September 7th making her a Virgo. We’ve had an amazing life together. She has recently had one of her eyes removed. She has not changed a bit since the operation. Other than a permanent wink, she is very happy and healthy. Her temperament is very calm. She loves hikes but loves walks around the city just as much. Jesse is the perfect dog to take on adventures and the perfect cuddle companion.

Story
story: Thank you for interested in adopting Buddy. Please know that Buddy is an international rescue. When your application is approved, you will need to pick him up from the airport - such as SFO, SEA, JFK, LAX, ONT, IAH, etc. International adoption is not a complicated process and we've done the process many years. We would be happy to explain to you how the process works. Buddy is not high in energy level and likes to take a slow walk, taking time to observe and sniff other things. When he was a puppy, he was small and weak and was bullied by his siblings. He gets nervous towards other dogs. He is not comfortable when the other dog tries to dominate and when the other dog has a young puppy energy so much that it can annoy others. However, once he becomes friendly with other dog, he gets along very well. He stayed in the shelter for a long time so he lacks socialization but he is gentle and careful once he decides to be a friend with the people and the dogs. Now, he is under socialization training. He has not met children yet but is generally calm and good with people. The foster believes buddy is calm and friendly with anyone and so can be with children. Buddy is nervous but stays calm in the crate. He behaves well when he is alone in home. He is under leash training. If he gets scared he just stops and refuses to move. When he gets scared during walks, he leans on the people next to him and depends on the person for protection. With something he has not eaten before, he doesn’t eat it right away. He rubs it on his body first. After he tries it one or two times, he doesn’t do it anymore. Lacking various experiences, he gets scared easily but is also good at overcoming them. If you’re interested in adopting Buddy, feel free to contact us for more info! Thank you.

Thank you for interested in adopting Chewy. Please know that Chewy is an international rescue. When your application is approved, you will need to pick him up from the airport - such as SFO, SEA, JFK, LAX, ONT, IAH, etc. International adoption is not a complicated process and we‘ve done the process many years. We would be happy to explain to you how the process works. Rescue story: The rescuer feeds some stray dogs far away from her home and she found a mama dog with 4 puppies. She was not able to help them but only could give them enough food to survive. One day, one of the puppies voluntarily came close to the rescuer and when she held the puppy, she found the puppy was covered by ticks and fleas and was in a very bad condition. The rescuer decided to find all of the dogs and was able to capture the mama dog and the rest 3 puppies. Chewy is very friendly with all dogs and is affectionate towards people. She likes to have close relationships with people. She loves taking walks and being outdoor. She is good on leash withouth pulling. At first, she pulled a little from being excited but now she is very good and follows the foster gently. She sometimes become stubborn at some points she wants to sniff but overall, she is very good on leash! She doesn’t have a guarding behavior and waits very well for her turn during the treat time. She is 100% outdoor potty trained and never made a mistake.
