Story
Meet Strider💙 — the handsome adventure buddy with the best mismatched eyes. Strider is a 7-year-young neutered male with a sweet, playful personality and a truly unforgettable look — he has one blue eye and one brown eye. He’s the kind of dog who will happily join you for a walk, romp around the yard, and then come inside to hang out and be your shadow. Strider is moderate energy: he loves walks, but he’s also totally happy to relax at home and play with you inside. While he’d love a yard to zoom around in, he would also likely do just fine in an apartment as long as he gets daily exercise and enrichment. ✅ Good with other dogs 🚫 Probably not good with cats (he is VERY interested in them) ✅ Great with visitors — he may give a couple soft “boofs,” then settles right in Strider enjoys toys (especially rubber balls) and one of his favorite hobbies is… enthusiastically destroying rubber toys. If you like buying toys and watching your dog have the time of his life? Strider is your guy. He is also neutered and fully vaccinated. Affectionate… with boundaries Strider is a very loving dog — he enjoys pets and snuggles and does well with handling when he approaches you first. He’s happiest when his humans respect his space and let him initiate affection (and once he does, he’s a total sweetheart). Training update Strider is currently working on: Crate training Leash training (he still pulls quite a bit) With consistency and positive reinforcement, he will continue to improve. Important note (please read) Strider does have a bite history. In a previous incident, someone leaned closely over him while he was grooming. Strider seemed got studded with the sudden move bit the person’s face, leaving two punctures. The incident was quick — he released immediately and did not attempt to bite again. Because of this, Strider needs: A home with no children Adults who understand dog body language A home that will be cautious when Strider is grooming himself, sleeping, or chewing bones/toys Strider is not a “bad dog” — he’s a dog who needs the right environment and humans who will respect his boundaries so he can feel safe and successful. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, affectionate best friend who will thrive with structure, respect, and love, Strider may be the perfect match. Currently being cared for in West Sacramento area, Strider can be transported to northern states such as Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, or other locations within the continental United States, where a loving family awaits to welcome him.

Story
Meet Hannah! This cute Alaskan Malamute case caught the attention of many people and many decided to join in to support the cause. Hannah's first diagnosis was: Giardia, very advanced scabies, lesions on her back legs and face, skin lesions due to worms and spines, platelets at 0, erlichia, anaplasmosis, eye infection and a fracture in her hip. Her chances of survival were low, but she had a great desire to live. After a short time she began to get up, which surprised everyone, and she began to improve little by little to the point where we see her today, she is a girl full of energy, life, love to give, and with a lot of enthusiasm to see new things. Curious, adventurous, brave, stubborn, talkative and with all the personality of a Alaskan Malamute: noble, educated, enthusiastic, protective. Today she can walk with no problem and is getting stronger every day. She loves to walk, run, and knows how to coexist with other dogs of her size. She likes to be the center of attention, and usually takes your hands with her mouth without biting to play with you. Crate trained and she wait for her food, she learns quickly and knows how to walk perfectly on a leash. Is a good girl! And she LOVES food, every food-time is her favorite, love carrots and mango. She needs urinary food. The $350.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to San Diego, CA. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash. The adoption fee does not include transportation to North of San Diego.
