Story
Meet Riggs! Riggs is a little bundle of energy and affection who is always ready for his next adventure—or a cozy cuddle session afterward. He loves going for walks and especially enjoys time at the park where he can run, play, and burn off some of his enthusiasm. Riggs gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home. When Riggs came into the care of Valley Dogs, he was suffering from a hip injury that required a femoral head ostectomy (FHO). His veterinarian believes the injury was caused by some type of trauma, such as a fall, jump, or impact to the hip area that resulted in a fracture. Despite his injury, Riggs never let it slow him down. Even before surgery, he happily kept up with his four-legged companions. After surgery, he is simply continuing to enjoy life to the fullest. Riggs would thrive in an active home with a securely fenced yard, especially since he weighs less than 12 pounds. He would love a family that includes him in walks, outings, and everyday activities. While he has not been exposed to children in his foster home, he is expected to do well with respectful kids once he knows he is safe, loved, and part of the family. He would also enjoy having one or more canine companions to play with and help keep him entertained. If you're looking for a fun-loving, resilient, and affectionate little dog to join your family, Riggs may be the perfect match. Story
Meet Kernel (aka Max), your soon-to-be best buddy! Hi there! My name is Kernel, but my foster mom affectionately calls me Max—and I kind of like it. I might come off a bit shy at first, but give me a little time and you'll find me curled up in your lap, handing out kisses like it’s my full-time job. I get along great with the other pups in my foster home (they're all around 35 lbs. and under), and I’ve even had some fun with the neighbor kids! Cats? I haven’t met any yet, so the jury’s still out. I walk nicely on a leash—though sometimes I get a little excited and try to lead the way. A secure yard where I can zoom and sniff would be ideal, and I’d love a doggy sibling to hang out with while you’re out. Snuggle time is very high on my list of favorite things, so don’t be surprised if I sneak into your arms for a cuddle session. I’m potty trained, and while the doggie door is still a bit of a mystery to me, I’m getting the hang of it with practice! Life’s giving me a fresh start, and I’m ready to soak it all in—especially if it involves adventures, soft blankets, and someone to love. Bonus: my ears are ridiculously cute. Come meet me—I have a feeling we’re meant to be! Please email VALLEYDOGS@VALLEYDOGS.ORG to schedule a meet & greet.

Story
Cookie is 3 years old. She has a very happy playful disposition. I am pregnant so will not be able to care for her longer. It breaks my heart to have to part with her. She is about the best comfort canine friend you could ask for. In the past she was trained to use puppy pads. However for the last year and a half she has lived with a doggy door and goes outside to potty. She can sit and fetch and loves to go for walks. She is generally pretty quiet although she is a good alarm dog if she hears the doorbell or a knock on the door. Let me know if you have any questions. I will include her crate, portable travel carrier, leash, food, food and water bowls and treats.

Story
Scrappy was born and raised in Arizona. He is a sweet little dog with a fun loving personality. He loves all people and wants all the pets he can possibly get. Unfortunately, after raising him for 5 years, our new work schedule does not allow us to give them the time and attention he needs and deserves. We are also moving to a home that does not have a yard. They spent most of their life running around outside and need a home they can do the same. Since he spent his time outdoors growing up, he only recently finished potty training. He loves cuddles and to play with his little stuffies. He is not fixed but only just out of date for his shots. He is a great dog and we just want to find a home where he can have the better life he deserves.

Story
My name is Penny! I am a happy young mutt. My story began when I was found by my dad with my brother, Coco, in a local landfill. I was very happy with my dad and brother, but unfortunately, my dad passed away suddenly. I have been with his friend since then, but he had to move and couldn't take us with him, so we need a new home—hopefully one that can take us both together. We are in a shelter, but we are struggling with the noise the strangers and we are not doing well can someone please give us a quiet, calm, loving home?Penny is:• Spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations until 2027• Housetrained• Very scared of loud noises like fireworks and thunderstorms• Not currently leash trained or crate trained• Nervous about car rides and vet visits (I take Trazodone to help me stay calm)I am a sweet girl who loves love and pats. Because of my history with loud machinery, I need someone who will be patient with me while I learn to feel safe.💰 Rehoming fee

Story
Coco was found at a local landfill close to where heavy equipment was operating which has made him shy and anxious. He is a curious and gentle dog and wants to be close to his human when he isn't sunning himself in the yard. Due to his background, he would need someone experienced and patient to help him thrive. My dad passed away and his friend had to move, and me and my sister are struggling in the shelter. He does have some food issue as he prefers to eat his sister's food first then his own. He has not shown food aggression with people just his sister but feeding them separately has solved that problem. He is a low to moderate energy level dog and is happy chasing his sister around the yard. I don't know how he would do with other animals or children as he has not been around them. He is house broken as long as he has access to the yard. He does have travel anxiety which the vet has given him a mild sedative (trazodone). It would be ideal to be rehomed with his sis
