Story
T-Bone came to us when his family could no longer care for him. He is estimated around 9 years old and is approximately 12 lbs. He is doing well with the potty routine in his foster home - going outside when his foster dad is home and using puppy pads when he is away at work. He enjoys his yard time and is a big fan of treats! He does have some mild food protectiveness but that is understandable given that there was not enough food at his former home. T-Bone does pretty well on a leash. He does great in a crate and ok in the car. He is timid but very affectionate once he warms up and knows you are safe. He is generally not a big barker. T-Bone is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and also had bloodwork done which looked good! Story
Princess Sadie came to us from Yuma where she sadly was not redeemed by her family even though they knew she was there. She is trying to be brave as she navigates her rescue journey. She is estimated around 11 years old and is around 11-12 lbs. She is generally quiet and mild mannered though sometimes growls when the other dogs get too close to her and remains somewhat independent and mostly keeps her distance. She would be happier in a home with fewer dogs. She walks nicely on a leash and is doing very well with the potty routine with regular opportunities to get out (fully housebroken). She likes being petted but (thus far) is not too much of a "lap dog". She is a "foodie" and mealtimes are her favorite time of the day. She had a dental while in rescue and does have a heart murmur requiring medication (about $35/mo). She will come with 6 months of sponsored medications. Story
Bonnie came to us when her owner took his own life leaving the dogs homeless. She is initially timid but has never show any signs of aggression at all and warms up quickly with kindness. Bonnie is 6 years old and weighs 14 lbs (could stand to lose a couple). Bonnie walks on a leash, is crate trained and uses the dog door like a pro. Bonnie seems to be a healthy girl and is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She has done really well with the other dogs in her foster home and is quiet and polite. We are unaware if she has lived with children or cats in the past but is a gentle girl and likely would do ok. Bonnie is trying to be brave and move past her trauma.
