Story
Meet Kernel (aka Max), your soon-to-be best buddy! Hi there! My name is Kernel, but my foster mom affectionately calls me Max—and I kind of like it. I might come off a bit shy at first, but give me a little time and you'll find me curled up in your lap, handing out kisses like it’s my full-time job. I get along great with the other pups in my foster home (they're all around 35 lbs. and under), and I’ve even had some fun with the neighbor kids! Cats? I haven’t met any yet, so the jury’s still out. I walk nicely on a leash—though sometimes I get a little excited and try to lead the way. A secure yard where I can zoom and sniff would be ideal, and I’d love a doggy sibling to hang out with while you’re out. Snuggle time is very high on my list of favorite things, so don’t be surprised if I sneak into your arms for a cuddle session. I’m potty trained, and while the doggie door is still a bit of a mystery to me, I’m getting the hang of it with practice! Life’s giving me a fresh start, and I’m ready to soak it all in—especially if it involves adventures, soft blankets, and someone to love. Bonus: my ears are ridiculously cute. Come meet me—I have a feeling we’re meant to be! Please email ADOPT@VALLEYDOGS.ORG to schedule a meet & greet.

At West Valley Animal Rescue, we do things a bit differently. While many rescues take days to respond or never reply at all, we move fast. The application (link below) is the first step and helps us confirm that you and your household are a great fit. Once you submit it, text us right away. We’ll review it quickly, and if approved, we can often schedule a same-day adoption appointment so dogs spend less time waiting and more time loved. https://www.westvalleyanimalrescue.com/app 💙 Meet SixSeven 💙 Quiet at first loyal forever. SixSeven may not be the flashiest pup in the room but he is the one who quietly wins hearts and never lets go. He is shy when meeting brand new people yet once he trusts you he is deeply loyal in a way only the best dogs are. He gets along great with other dogs uses the dog door like a champ and is fully crate trained. SixSeven is steady gentle and genuinely easy to live with and he will thrive with someone who wants a dog that bonds hard and stays true. He is the kind of pup you do not fully appreciate until he is curled up beside you making your home feel warmer just by being there. SixSeven’s adoption donation includes his age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, neuter, microchip, collar and leash. Apply below to adopt SixSeven. We are a foster-based rescue with homes mainly in Goodyear and Buckeye. If approved, you’ll meet a volunteer or foster family at a local pet store we partner with or at a foster home for adoption. The address will be shared once your appointment is scheduled. Breed and age are estimated and not guaranteed. Please see our website’s FAQs for more information. Story
Hello! This is Maximus Horatio Benny and the Jetts. Max for short. But we also started calling him "little man" and it just sort of stuck. He is 5 years old and we have had him since he was about 2-3 months old. He came from family friends, and we are still in contact with Max's original family and his doggy parents. I have a young daughter that has started to develop an allergy for dogs, so it is with a heavy heart that we need to rehome our little man. He's very sweet and good with other dogs and our kids. He did have his first few rounds of all vaccines, but we have not kept up since then. He does not go to the dog park, which is why we haven't kept up. We do have receipts for his vaccines, microchip and neuter. He is kennel trained, but does have a habit of marking territory outside of the kennel that we did not nip in the bud. So he will need a home where you can actively train, or actively clean up after him.

Story
Lucy is about 4 years old she is a good dog she is very attached to people she likes and will want to hang out with you but takes some time to warm up to anyone or anything new. Shes very skittish and afraid of new things and people though we have had her since she is very small so it's just in her nature. She is good with other dogs and I would prefer she has another dog to go with as our other dog has always been around with her (we are keeping her as she is a little older). She is very used to kids but again is pretty skittish until she gets to know them. She may growl a tiny bit if she is very uncomfortable but we have never known her to snap or bite at anyone at the vet or otherwise. She is kennel trained and finds comfort in her kennel. Her kennel and some toys would come along with her. She has all her shots from her early life but needs an updated rabies shot. Open to any other questions!
