Luna is a 3-year-old Chiweenie who and weighs about 15 lbs. She was originally adopted as a puppy from the shelter and has grown into a sweet, affectionate girl who truly loves her people. Luna is enthusiastic and playful when it’s time for fun, but she is just as happy settling in for a cozy nap right beside you. She loves cuddling and will gladly soak up all the snuggles you are willing to give. Luna gets along with other dogs, has been around cats, and does well with kids and all people. She has a gentle heart and enjoys being part of the family. She can be a little nervous about being picked up and tinkle when she feels overwhelmed or overly excited, but she allows handling and just needs a calm, reassuring approach to help her feel comfortable and confident. She would thrive in a quieter home where she can feel safe and relaxed. She is ready to find a loving home where she can feel secure, cherished, and right where she belongs. ----- Looking to Adopt? Hi there! My name is Zulie and I'm a 9 year old female Chihuahua living at the Santa Barbara Campus, eager for a new home! Whoever said you can't teach old dog new tricks was wrong, I have definitely learned some things in my time here. For example I've been practicing my leash manners, my cuddling technique, and most importantly how to be someone's best friend. While I may be a 'senior' I still have a love for long walks and my playtime! Adoptions are open 12pm-4:30pm every day, except Wednesdays, and no appointment is needed. Like all SBH animals, when I am adopted I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Adoptions also include a certificate for a complimentary post-adoption veterinary exam from a local clinic and our partners at Hills Science Diet will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home. Need some supplies? Both SB Humane Campuses have retail centers stocked with everything you need, at comparable prices, and your purchase helps support our mission. Hope to see you soon!
