Story
Bella was one of 16 dogs rescued from a deceased hoarder’s house. Thanks to our partners, Hope For Paws, they got all of the dogs out. Bella is thriving with her foster. She is currently fostered with dogs and cats. She is polite, using the doggy door, happy and healthy. She obviously had a litter. We think the 4 6-month old pups we also got from the same place are her puppies. Imagine, this poor dog was still a puppy herself and had to go through a pregnancy and caring for a litter of puppies without any vet care or basic comforts. :( She is definitely a survivor!

Story
This little man has been through IT! We pulled him from a city shelter after we received a plea that he was attacked by another dog in the kennel and was in bad shape. He also lost his ear and it was severely infected. He has made a full recovery physically but he is sometimes head shy with new people so you have to take it slow with him and let him move at his pace. He is probably younger than he appears but had a hard life before being rescued. He is fine with other dogs and cats. He would also be happy as the only pet. Crate trained, working on house training, great on leash, not a barker.

This tiny guy had a rough start to life. He is by far, the most shy guy in the bunch. He was rescued from a hoarding situation along with 15 other dogs. The last photo is who we think is his mom. She is also available for adoption. We are calling her Bella. She’s around 1.5yo. We estimate he will be under 15lbs when fully grown. Great with other animals. Working on house training. Shy but not snappy. Needs to build confidence.

Meet Sweetheart – and yes, he lives up to his name! Sweetheart is a handsome tan Chihuahua who recently came into rescue with his two Chihuahua brothers after their owner passed away. Currently unneutered and in need of a little extra TLC, Sweetheart is searching for a patient and loving home where he can feel safe and cherished once again. Though initially shy, Sweetheart has a gentle and affectionate soul. Once he feels secure, he loves to be touched, gives the sweetest kisses, and will happily come to you for affection. Sweetheart spends time kenneled with his brother Delgado, and they get along beautifully. They would be thrilled to stay together in a forever home, but Sweetheart would also thrive with a family who can give him the love, patience, and gentle care he deserves. Sweetheart enjoys outdoor adventures, sniffing around the yard, and exploring at his own pace. With time and love, he will blossom into a loyal and loving companion who will make a wonderful addition to a quiet and patient family. I’m a little dog with huge personality. I’m currently having a blast in foster care while I wait for my forever family, and my foster parents say I’m the perfect mix of fun and cuddly. I love walks, dog parks, zoomies, toys, and soaking up the sunshine. I feel happiest with an active human and a playful dog buddy to keep life exciting. Meet Chief – A Gentle Soul in Need of a Patient, Loving Home Chief is a sweet brown Chihuahua who recently came into rescue with his two brothers, Delgado and Sweetheart, after their owner passed away. Currently unneutered and in need of some extra TLC, Chief is searching for a calm and understanding forever home where he can feel safe, secure, and loved at his own pace. Chief arrived with a skin condition and a very dry nose, but thanks to gentle care and treatment (including soothing coconut oil for his nose), he is on the mend. While his body is healing, his heart is still learning to trust. Chief is very sweet, but also anxious. He will come to you on his own terms, but sudden approaches or attempts to pick him up make him nervous, and he may express his fear through growling. Chief’s anxiety is compounded by the fact that his more outgoing siblings sometimes bully him, so he would benefit from a peaceful home where he can be the focus of gentle, patient attention. Despite his nervousness, Chief has shown he enjoys time outdoors once encouraged, exploring quietly and soaking in the fresh air. Chief is looking for a very special person or family who understands that trust takes time, and who can offer him the love, patience, and calm environment he needs to truly come out of his shell.
