I am full time caregiver for my Dad. Rudy is my parents sweet baby. My mom spoiled him and she has passed away and my dad has Alzheimers. I can no longer care for both. Rudy loves everyone and needs a more active home. Dad keeps saying to put him to sleep. I hesitate because he is sweet but he does have allergies and is overweight due to being spoiled! I take him every month for his allergy shot but doesnt seem to help. I think he is depressed. Please find a fun acrive rehome!

Story
Sasha is a four-year-old Chiweenie (Chihuahua/Dachshund) weighing 17 lbs, recently surrendered by her elderly owner who could no longer care for her. She is used to being snuggled with, petted, kissed and loved so was understandably terrified when she found herself in a cold, noisy kennel. Luckily, she found a short-term foster home where she feels safe and loved again. Sasha will seek out that small space next to you on the couch or will perch on the back of the sofa looking out the window. She will make you laugh every day with her snoring, burrowing under the covers, or walking on her hind legs waiting for dinner! She thrives on being with her people, so we are looking for a family or person who can be with her most of the time. She walks well on a leash and rides beautifully in the car, so taking her with you on errands or trips would be a real treat for her. She’s good with other dogs but can be initially frightened by them. If you are looking for a new constant companion to cherish and love… Sasha could be the perfect dog for you! Interested? Hi, I’m Emma! 🐾If you’re looking for the sweetest little shadow to follow you around and love everyone you know, I might just be your girl. I absolutely adore people and get so excited whenever I get to meet someone new. Whether you’re a grown-up, a kid, another dog, or even a cat, I’m happy to say hello and make a new friend.One of my favorite things in the world is being outside. I love playing in the yard, soaking up the sunshine, and having fun with kids and other dogs. But I’m just as happy soaking up attention and cuddles from my humans. Honestly, the more love the better—I’m a big fan of being part of the family. 💕I’m a very well-mannered lady. I’m house-broken, crate-trained, and I’ve even had free roam of the house in my previous home—and I did great! I’m gentle, friendly with everyone, and I try my best to be on my best behavior wherever I go. I’m also a superstar at the vet and for grooming. Baths, nail trims, vet visits… no problem for me!I do have a couple of small health things that my future family should know about. I take medication for a fatty liver and a heart murmur, and I will eventually need a dental. My previous vet was a little cautious about sedation because of my murmur, but your vet will be able to help guide you and make the best plan for me. I promise I’m worth the extra care. ❤️The only thing that really scares me is fireworks—they’re just so loud! During those times I just like a cozy, safe place and someone nearby to remind me everything’s okay.What I really want most is a loving home where I can be part of the family, play outside, make friends, and give you all the love I have to offer. If you’re patient with me, I promise I’ll be your loyal little shadow.I came to the shelter because my previous family didn’t have the time I deserved, and their housing situation wouldn’t allow me to stay. It was a big change for me, so I can be a bit nervous at first—especially around strangers. I might bark to let you know I’m unsure, but I warm up with kindness and a little time.The good news? I do really well with both men and women once I get comfortable, and I’m a total pro at the vet and groomer (I like to look my best, after all 💅). I get along great with other dogs and even cats, so I’d be happy in a home with furry friends. I’m an active little lady who loves treats (seriously… I love treats), car rides, and playing dress-up.
