They may be small, but the love these two have to give is HUGE! Two senior sweethearts, one forever home! Meet Jordan & Missy! These two 15-year-old cuties recently lost their home after the passing of their beloved owner, and now they’re looking for a family who will let them spend their golden years together, surrounded by love, cozy beds, and plenty of attention. Jordan is a charming Pekingese mix who has mastered the art of living the good life. His favorite place is a soft, comfy bed, but the moment you walk through the door, he’ll happily get up to greet you! And while he may be a senior gentleman, deep down he’s still a baby. His favorite way to travel? Being carried, of course! Scoop him up and he’s perfectly content.Missy is a sweet dachshund with a young heart and plenty of love to give. Don’t let her age fool you! She still loves to play, enjoys time outside, and absolutely loves car rides with the windows down so she can feel the breeze in those adorable ears. When she’s not out enjoying an adventure, Missy is happiest snuggled up beside her person. And if she hasn’t received enough pets, she’ll be sure to let you know! As seniors, both have a few medical needs their future family should be aware of. Jordan has elevated liver values and is recommended to remain on lifelong liver support with Denamarin or milk thistle, which is available over the counter. Missy has a very small heart murmur and is currently on heart medication. We recommend continuing her current medication because she had a history of vomiting after meals, and since starting the heart medication, her vomiting has stopped! We also tried diet changes, nausea medication, and medication for her trachea, but nothing worked as well as her current medication. Of course, her future veterinarian can determine whether they’d like to try a different approach, but for now, this is what’s been working for Missy!We just know these two sweet seniors have a loving home waiting for them! They just need someone to help them spend their golden years together. They're currently living in a foster home, please contact our Front Office to ask about next steps! Our adoption fee helps cover this cost.
