Story
Suki, a 4 year old Chiweenie was adopted from Atlanta Humane in early 2023. She loves to be rubbed and showered with attention. Fetch is her favorite activity! She knows & understands simple commands (i.e. yes, no, come here, wait, outside & treat- her favorite). She enjoys sunbathing and being outside with the family. She is also crate trained and knows it as her “bed” & is house trained. Like most dogs, Suki has great hearing and barks whenever she hears something or someone she’s unfamiliar with. She definitely lets the house know (by barking) when someone is at the door or comes to visit. She’s not a fan of baths or the vacuum cleaner. Suki was diagnosed with IVDD in late September which caused temporary paralysis. She’s recovered and is back walking. She has a little wobble when running, sometimes causing her to fall down but she’s able to get up immediately. Up-to-date with Rabies vaccine only.

Our shy but sweet guy, Lindor, is ready to find his forever home! Lindor is a 2 year old chiweenie mix. He is still learning that humans can be trusted and he’s hoping to find a family willing to meet him where he is. He can be a bit nervous at first and may actively avoid or try to escape new people, but with patience and consistency, he’s already making progress. What we do know about him: Dog-friendly: he’s playful and even snuggly with other dogs  Learning leash skills and improving steadily Fully potty trained Like his brother Toblerone, he’ll need patient humans who understand that trust takes time. He won’t be immediately affectionate or cuddly with people, but once he feels safe, his personality continues to peek through more and more. Important notes:• He has not shown any human aggression• He has gotten protective of his crate a couple of times (once with another dog trying to steal his bone, and once when a puppy was overwhelming him), so respecting his space is key Ideal home:• Adults or older kids only (10+)• Another confident, friendly dog in the home• A fenced yard• People who are happy to go at his pace and celebrate small wins If you’re the kind of person who believes the most special bonds are the ones you earn slowly, this sweet boy could be your perfect match   ##2648266##

Buddy was adopted by a friend from the animal shelter about a year ago. He was extremely shy and lived in a shed. The friend passed away unexpectedly so my husband and I brought him to our house to foster until we find him a new home. He started to come out of his shell but he is still somewhat skittish. He has never growled, nipped or bitten anyone. He likes to play with his toys and run at the dog park. He has never been aggressive with other dogs. He loves going for walks and is very good on a leash. He acts like someone hurt him before he went to the shelter so he's afraid of rakes and canes, which I walk with. He likes females the best but has warmed up to my husband who spoils him! Buddy deserves someplace where he can run and play and feel safe. I am only able to provide the safe part because I have stage 4 cancer and cannot physically be what he deserves. He is so sweet.

Meet Archer--Archer is an almost-8-yr-old sweetheart (bday is in March) who's been loved since puppyhood (he found us while wandering around lost, confused, & abandoned when he was about 8 weeks old). He's potty trained, well-behaved, gentle, & has never been aggressive or bitten. He loves kids & people, gets along with non-aggressive dogs & cats, isn't bothered by storms or fireworks, & enjoys both couch time & outdoor play, especially fetch with his favorite balls. He's healthy with no medical issues, knows basic commands (sit, paw, down, stay, jump, leave it), & comes with shot records (through 1/2023) & DNA test results. Archer will go to his new home with all his goodies--orthopedic bed, toys, food, treats, flea meds, brushes, & bowls. Rehoming due to a life change & an upcoming no-pet rental. Archer is my baby, & finding him a loving, permanent home is the priority. Serious inquiries only please. I will text & call applicants.
