Meet Toby – The King of the Castle in Training
Toby is a 3-year-old Chi/Pug mix with a big personality packed into a small body. He believes every castle needs a king, and he's more than willing to apply for the position! While Toby would love to run the household, he truly thrives when his people provide clear boundaries, structure, and consistent expectations.
This handsome little guy has an expressive face that often looks concerned, but don't be fooled—it's mostly part of his charm. Underneath that serious expression is a loving, loyal companion who wants nothing more than to be close to his people.
Toby enjoys being the center of attention and would do best in a home without cats. He can live with other dogs, but he prefers canine companions who are confident, sturdy, and able to handle his enthusiastic personality. Because Toby likes to be in charge, he is not a good match for small, frail, or senior dogs.
With guidance, routine, and loving leadership, Toby relaxes into a wonderful companion. He's always up for an adventure, especially once he realizes the car isn't headed to the vet! Whether he's riding shotgun on a road trip or curled up beside you on the couch, Toby is happiest when he's sharing life with his favorite humans.
