Story
Smokey is a very good and happy boy. His dad has become unable to care for himself and so this very good boy and his brother, Lucky, are needing a new forever home. Their dad is a kind man who let the boys have the run of the house and yard. The family members caring for them now report that the boys are progressing well with their house manners. Once boundaries are re-established, it seems both Smokey and Lucky are good in the house. They are affectionate pets and are fine with encouragement on the leash. These very worthy boys are waiting for the next chapter. We want this that to be with a person as loving as the first. Please consider Smokey and possibly Lucky too. They qualify for the Pets for Vets and Seniors for Seniors adoptions. Both boys are neutered, and just had dentals. They had vaccines updated and had negative heartworm tests. Lucky has no vision in his right eye due to a previous illness.

Story
Tinkie is a sweet senior Chihuahua mix who brings so much energy and joy to those around her. While she can be a bit hyper and barks at new people, it’s just her way of expressing excitement and protecting her space. She’s also up to date on all her vaccinations and preventative care, ensuring she stays healthy and happy. With a little patience and love, Tinkie can be a wonderful companion! ADOPTION FEE: LOCAL $FREE NON-LOCAL $FREE All dogs receive at least 1 distemper/parvo and Bordetella vaccine. If possible a heartworm test will be done and if negative the dog will be started on heartworm prevention. All animals receive a flea and parasite prevention/treatment and will be microchipped. All animals can go home the same day as adoption. We will need your photo ID and you will sign some documents. Adopters will also receive a copy of the animal's medical history to date. We do not do an application process. All adoptions are first come, first serve. We do not offer holds. We do not require in most cases that adopters bring all their families members and dogs for a meet and greet. But we do highly encourage it. We are happy to introduce the new dog to your dog(s) at the shelter. No appointment necessary. We do offer home trials of dogs over 6 months of age for about a week. You will not need to pay the adoption fee (spay neuter deposit) ahead of time, but if you decide to adopt you will need to return to the shelter to complete the paperwork and pay the adoption deposit. If you do not wish to complete the adoption, you can bring the dog back at any time during normal business hours during your home trial period. We do not allow after hours drop off.
