This little cutie is Oreo, or Rio for short. She is around a year old. She was a stray so we’re not sure of her breed, but our best guess is Rat Terrier/Chihuahua and maybe some Dachshund as she has a long body for her size. She weighs about 11 lbs and has fairly long legs. Oreo is a very sweet, happy girl. She didn’t have the best start in life so is still fearful of some things but has made great progress in her foster home. She loves most people and gets very excited when she sees people she knows. She is good with kids but tends to jump up a lot and small children make her nervous so she would do best with older children. She would love another dog around her size for play and companionship. She doesn’t like to be alone so a family who has plenty of time to spend with her or another dog to keep her company would be best. Oreo is a pretty laid back girl and loves a good dog bed to curl up in. She also loves to go for walks and is good on a leash. Oreo is a bit of a character and makes her foster mom laugh when she carries her empty dog food bowl around and likes to pile her toys up around her. She will also lay quietly in her dog bed until another dog in her foster home is getting attention and then she pushes her way in to make sure she gets attention and pets too. Oreo is housebroken, spayed, microchipped and is current on vaccinations and Heartworm and flea and tick preventative. Her adoption fee is $250. Jade will be one in October. She’s a beautiful, sweet dog that is absolutely trainable. We are looking to find a good home for her and will only place her with a perfect fit. She is very big for our space and I’d love her to have more time to play than we can give her. I will donate the fee to a local animal shelter.We have her dna results (she’s 40%+ golden retriever!) She can sit on command. She’s pretty good on a leash! She’s working on potty training. We have an invisable fence which has made the process trickier. She needs a yard!
