Hudson is a 2-year-old with a big heart, short little legs, and a whole lot of potential. This adorable low rider may look like a big dog at first glance, but his stubby legs make him extra cute—and he’s the perfect size for being your constant companion. Hudson hasn’t had many good experiences with people, so he’s understandably shy and unsure when it comes to humans. But he’s learning that people can be kind, patient, and trustworthy, especially with the help of his friendly, confident dog friends. Having other dogs around has helped Hudson come out of his shell and feel a little braver about exploring the world. As he becomes more comfortable, we’re already seeing glimpses of the sweet and affectionate dog hiding underneath that shy exterior. Hudson is learning to enjoy spending time with people, and it’s clear that there’s so much love waiting to come out once he feels safe. Hudson would do best in a home with another friendly, confident dog who can help show him the ropes. He’ll also need a patient family who understands that trust takes time and is willing to let Hudson move at his own pace. He may not be the dog who runs up to greet you on day one—but give him some time, TLC, and a safe place to land, and you may just discover an incredibly sweet companion. Hudson doesn’t need someone to “fix” him. He just needs someone willing to believe in him, give him time, and show him that life with people can be pretty wonderful. And once he learns that, we think this little low rider is going to be one very special best friend. Approximate Birthdate: Sep 2024 Adoption Fee: $200 TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming. TARA's pets are all eligible for a TWO WEEK TRIAL. Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed.
