🌟 ATLAS — FROM ABANDONED & SCARED TO TRUSTING & SWEET 🌟 Atlas came to us abandoned, terrified, and completely alone. It took time, patience, and gentle reassurance… but once he realized he was finally safe, his sweet little personality began to shine through. He’s still a sensitive boy, but when Atlas trusts you? He loves deeply, listens beautifully, and follows your lead with amazing recall. 💛 Very sweet once he feels safe 🐕 Good with dogs 👦 Young kids scare him — older children preferred 🔒 Great recall once bonded 🌱 Needs someone patient to build his confidence 🏡 Ready for a calm, loving, stable home Atlas isn’t asking for much — just someone who will show him that the world isn’t a scary place anymore. Someone consistent. Someone gentle. Someone who’ll let him bloom at his own pace. If you can be that person, Atlas will be the most loyal, loving companion you could ever hope for. ⏳ He’s been failed before — let’s make sure he never feels abandoned again. Story
Kush is an 8 year old chiweenie. He’s been with us for the past 6 years and has been a great companion and member of our family. He’s also been difficult, with high baseline anxiety and is extremely protective of my wife. He’s bitten me a few times over the years as a result. We recently had a son (who’s now 2 years old) and initially things were going OK with Kush. We had him on Prozac and he was fairly calm with no biting issues or even close calls. He recently stopped eating his food and taking his medication. Per the vet’s guidance, we stopped the medication so he’d start eating again. However, he’s become far more anxious, growling at our son and recently bit him. It’s heartbreaking, but we can no longer have kush in our household given the risks. When my wife isn’t present, he doesn’t seem to present nearly as high levels of anxiety though, as indicated by the times when it’s just been him and I and when he goes to his dog boarder, with whom he’s had absolutely no issues.

Story
**Please note this is pet is currently out of town pet but we will transport this pet to NJ for you when adopted. All fees listed include transport fees.** Meet Wizard Waverly! This charming little 10-pound Chiweenie may have a magical name, but his greatest spell is how quickly he can steal your heart. At just 3 years old, Wizard Waverly is a bright, curious, and affectionate pup who’s learning what it means to be loved and cared for. Wizard came to us from a heartbreaking situation — a home with over 30 dogs living in unsafe conditions. Thanks to the efforts of multiple rescues (including ours!), Wizard and his friends finally got their chance at a better life. Despite his rough start, Wizard’s resilience shines through every day. He’s housebroken, crate-trained, and making great progress learning to use the doggy door. He’s still working on his leash training, but he’s such a smart boy that he’s picking it up quickly! Wizard loves toys, especially ones he can chase or squeak, and he’ll happily entertain himself or join in a play session with his humans. Wizard can be a bit shy and skittish when meeting new people or encountering new situations — understandable given his past — but once he feels safe, his sweet, snuggly side shines. He loves attention, gentle pets, and being close to his trusted people. If you’re patient, loving, and ready to give Wizard Waverly the safe forever home he deserves, this little guy will reward you with endless love and loyalty. Interested in becoming a forever home for Wizard? We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and appreciate you working with us.For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public in Oklahoma. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. Story
Meet Dory A Sweet Survivor Looking for Her Fresh Start Hi, I’m Dory — a 2 to 3-year-old, 15-pound pup with a soft heart and a gentle spirit. I was rescued by The Sato Project from a heartbreaking hoarding situation in Manatí, Puerto Rico, where I lived in a home with over 30 other dogs. It was a tough start to life, but I’m finally safe, healthy, and beginning to discover what love and kindness feel like. When I was rescued, my skin was in rough shape, but I’ve been getting medical baths and special care, and I’m healing more every day. My transformation has already begun — and it’s only going to get better from here. I’ll be flying into Morristown, NJ around November 8th, and I’m hoping the next chapter of my life begins with a patient, loving family who understands that I may be a little timid at first. Because of my past, I’ll need a calm, understanding home that will give me time to feel safe and secure. With gentle guidance, I’ll show you just how sweet and loyal I can be. A quiet environment — maybe with another kind dog to help me build confidence — would be a perfect match. If you're looking for a dog who truly deserves a second chance and will love you with her whole heart, I'm ready. Let’s heal and grow together. Story
Meet Gabriel 5–6 years old | 12 lbs | Arriving in Morristown, NJ December 28th Say hello to Gabriel — a small pup with a big personality just waiting to come out. He was rescued by The Sato Project from a heartbreaking hoarding case in Manatí, Puerto Rico, where he lived in a cramped home with more than 30 other dogs. His early life lacked stability, safety, and human kindness — but now, Gabriel has a second chance. After receiving medical care and lots of TLC, Gabriel is now healthy and preparing to fly to Morristown, NJ to find the home he’s always deserved. Gabriel is very shy and timid with new people — he’s not the type to warm up right away. But behind those cautious eyes is a spicy little spirit who’s full of personality once he starts to feel safe. He’ll need a patient, dog-savvy home where he can go at his own pace, without pressure. A quiet environment, ideally with another gentle dog, could help him feel more confident. Gabriel may not be the “instant best friend” kind of dog — but for the right person, he’ll be an incredibly rewarding companion full of charm and character. If you love the shy ones, the quirky ones, the ones who need a little extra time — Gabriel might just be your perfect match. To Adopt: Fill out an application at thesatoproject.org/applicationform.
