Say hello to Whimzy Winslow, a 2-year-old, 10-pound Chiweenie who’s as charming as his name suggests! This little guy may be small, but he’s full of heart, curiosity, and playful energy. Whimzy came from a tough beginning — a home with over 30 dogs living in poor conditions — but thanks to the efforts of multiple rescues (including ours), he finally has the chance to enjoy the good life. And he’s making the most of it! He’s housebroken, crate-trained, and learning to use the doggy door. Leash walking is still something he’s figuring out, but with how smart and eager he is, he’s improving every day. Whimzy loves playing with toys and spending time outside — exploring, sniffing, and soaking up the sunshine are some of his favorite things. At first, Whimzy can be a bit reserved around new people or situations, but once he feels comfortable, he shows his true colors — affectionate, funny, and full of love. Thanks to the efforts of multiple rescues (including ours!), Wizard and his friends finally got their chance at a better life. Despite his rough start, Wizard’s resilience shines through every day. He’s housebroken, crate-trained, and making great progress learning to use the doggy door. He’s still working on his leash training, but he’s such a smart boy that he’s picking it up quickly! Wizard loves toys, especially ones he can chase or squeak, and he’ll happily entertain himself or join in a play session with his humans.
