Story
Floki is a playful, cuddly, loyal, loving 3 yr old chiweenie. Floki has a high energy level!! He loves to go for walks & play. He wants attention always from playing to chilling & cuddling. Floki is very highly food motivated. He is potty trained to go outside on the command go potty. He knows & follows the commands sit, lay down, roll over, give paw, speak, dance, stay, place(to his crate), come, & has even sat patient for a treat before he was told an eat command to teach him patience. He is crate trained. Floki does have separation anxiety & has not done well with sitters. He gets upset & does not eat when left w/sitters. He needs an owner who will be home most of the time bc hes very attached. Floki is reactive to other animals thats why he should be an only pet. He loves being with his owner as much as possible throughout his days. He loves to be talked to. He knows phrases like excuse me, food, eat?, wanna go for a walk?, lets go, get out (for kitchen safety & staying at doorway)

Story
Kush is an 8 year old chiweenie. He’s been with us for the past 6 years and has been a great companion and member of our family. He’s also been difficult, with high baseline anxiety and is extremely protective of my wife. He’s bitten me a few times over the years as a result. We recently had a son (who’s now 2 years old) and initially things were going OK with Kush. We had him on Prozac and he was fairly calm with no biting issues or even close calls. He recently stopped eating his food and taking his medication. Per the vet’s guidance, we stopped the medication so he’d start eating again. However, he’s become far more anxious, growling at our son and recently bit him. It’s heartbreaking, but we can no longer have kush in our household given the risks. When my wife isn’t present, he doesn’t seem to present nearly as high levels of anxiety though, as indicated by the times when it’s just been him and I and when he goes to his dog boarder, with whom he’s had absolutely no issues.

Story
Plato is a snuggly home body. He can be reactive to other dogs, especially on leash, and can also be aggressive toward visitors to his home. He has a nervous temperament, but has responded well to training in the past. Unfortunately our family no longer has the bandwidth to manage his behavioral issues with a young toddler and another child on the way.

Story
**Please note this is pet is currently out of town pet but we will transport this pet to NJ for you when adopted. All fees listed include transport fees.** Meet Dumpling Village! Dumpling Village is a tiny 4-pound chiweenie with a heart that’s much bigger than she is. At just 5 months old, this sweet girl is still learning about the world and taking everything one gentle step at a time. Dumpling is a little shy when she first meets new people, but once she feels safe, her true personality shines. She absolutely loves giving kisses, curling up in your lap, and soaking up all the affection she can get. She’s incredibly sweet and gets along well with other dogs. She is both house-trained and crate-trained, which is pretty impressive for such a young pup! Dumpling is still working on her leash skills and will need a patient adopter willing to help her build confidence and continue learning. Dumpling came to us as part of a large rescue effort after being saved from a hoarding situation with over 30 dogs in one home. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate lap dog who will reward your patience with endless love and kisses, Dumpling Village may be the perfect match. Interested in becoming a forever home for Dumpling? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and appreciate you working with us.For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public in Oklahoma. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!
