Hi there, I’m Fred! I’m a sweet young little guy with a big heart and an even bigger desire to find my very own person. I LOVE TO SMILE as you can see in my photos! I may be small, but I have plenty of love to give—whether that’s snuggles, happy tail wags, or just being your cheerful shadow throughout the day. I’m still getting to know the world, but I’m gentle, friendly, and ready to bond with someone who will love me right back. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who brings sunshine in a small package… that might be me! Bonus news! Dogs come into rescue not because they are perfect and you adopt them because you want to make them whole but some take longer than others, is that you? She really needs to have time to know she is safe and relax and she will give you love but she wants it back too. Do not disappoint her, give her what she needs for the rest of her life. Our must haves for Pip are: • A fenced in yard • Another young, small, and well socialized dog • Someone that can be home most of the time or works from home • Please no apartments, condos or high rises Please if you are interested reach out and we will let you know all about the sweet gentle girl looking for love. ============== Information for All Dogs/Adopters ============== AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund’s back or get bitten. If you have questions about this dog, please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed on the bio form. They have the most up-to-date information concerning the dog and would be happy to answer any questions about the animal. There will be an additional $60 fee added for a required Health Certificate if traveling out of the state in which they are being fostered. We will not adopt into CT, RI, NH, ME, or MA due to strict laws regarding importation of dogs into those states. If you have any issue with this, you will need to take this up with your legislatures.
